So a wonderful Aries coworker of mine says this to me: "You know, I love being in a monogamous relationship. And I mean, I woult not want my girlfriend to be with anyone other than me. But sometimes I think- I wish there was a way I could expolore other people- new experiences- and not hurt her. Not by decieving her, I just wish there was some way that I could be with other people and she would somehow never be hurt by this and she would also never be with anyone else. Yes..that is exactly what I want"riight.... lol..anyways, it made me laugh, hope it makes you laugh as well..wouldn't that be nice, huh? IP: Logged |

Sounds very Aquarian/11th House as well, or like someone with a Venus in Aries.------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

wow, good call AJ!! He's got Venus and Mercury in Aries in the 11th house!!I just thought his statement summed up well the nature of an Aries- he really doesn't want to hurt anyone, you know? Just wants to explore and experience new things- and being so honest about the whole thing too. IP: Logged |

I'm willing to bet that he also has some kind of a Venus-Uranus aspect going on. IP: Logged |

At least he is admitting a PAST fantasy.. if it was a present fantasy, he would be making plans to do it already, with Venus in Aries. We all fantasize about things that are not what we really want, it's the person we are fantasizing to that can be a real problem, those thoughts are good to expose to the partner. If you can't talk about your fantasies to your partner it's time to start working on the relationship.. Natasha

Yup, I'd have to say this just sounds male to me. Though we females are catching up in that fantasy...Infidelity, or the desire for it, has always been around. Perhaps it's time to re-examine it... btw, I love the book The Unbearable Lightness of Being. I'm an Aries Sun, Venus and Mercury. IP: Logged |

yes, that is an amazing book.. I sort of disagree with what most people seem to be saying- I genuinely appreciated the way he had envisioned this ideal situation. I mean- he wans't planning on making it happen, only because he knows there is no way in reality he can do this without hurting his girlfriend- he was just daydreaming- and I think it's a nice fantasy- I would like this as well. We know it's impossible- but we're talking about some fantasy world here. Monogamy is wonderful- and when you are commited you should stay commited- and if you don't like it you should tell your partner- decide on an open relationship if they are comfortable... and I think you can care for someone very much and still be interested in other people in a fantasy way- come on, tell me you've done it too- been with someone you truly loved and fantasized about other people in a purely hypothetical way..this is not affecting your loyalty! I don't think it's right to call this a male thing or something guys do. Some people are just a little curious and restless and have vivid imagiantion I guess the only part of his statement that was selfish was the fact that he would not feel comfortable if the same was being done to him-- there I agree he is being selfish and unfair- but not MALE!!!ok that was my rant. so long, White Rabbit IP: Logged |

Hey, you know what White Rabbit? That sounds a lot like things I've thought, and I'm a female, Aries rising, Aqua sun in the 11th (lol, good call AJ! ) And I do appreciate his honesty, I would probably have been taken aback by the fact that he was that honest, not that he had that thought... That's just me though, I'm a complete air head (aqua sun/merc/mars; libra jup/sat/pluto), so I'm the last person in the world to talk about 'monogomy'... Ghani IP: Logged |

In our society women are like cars, a man may have a Jaguar but he wants a Land Rover, why? Because he doesn't have one that's why. I'ts nothing personal, men are told some things are sex and some aren't, they watch porn, and that's okay, they fool around that's okay, pretty soon if it's with a woman they don't love then it's okay. There are no boundaries and it's quiety accepted, the only way to stop it is to not be quiet about it, you may not stop the actions but you can stop other people from emulating that action. Women, and wives put up with a LOT of crap, what do I tell a friend of mine, a Leo whose Gemini husband just gave her a disease? Everyone wants the fantasy but not one wants to pay the price, a married man told me recently he was obsessed with me and needed, and craved me, he would take care of me...I wonder if he meant for real or in his head? Apparently I wasn't worth knowing or else he would understand what my needs where too... Jaguar here, Natasha Taurus IP: Logged |

Natasha- I completely agree that there is a very negative mentality towards women in our society- a negative mentality in general which causes many to long for things only until they are obtained- at which point they lose their value. I am not endorsing being unfaithful at all-- we are purely in the realm of fantasy here- they (fantasies) are safe..never gave anyone a disease (by the way that's terrible)(I've also been a Jaguar) IP: Logged |
