I would like to find an astrologer to help me interpret my chart. I've been to 2 astrologers and both times I walked away feeling depressed and as if I had no free will. Their views were very fatalistic, and their predictions had a way of haunting me, hence why I decided to learn about astrology. I'd really like to have someone interpret my chart, but I'm really hesitant about it now. Does anyone have an astrologer they could recommend? Thank you!

If the two astrologers left you feeling that way, they weren't very good at their job. You always have free will, any astrologer that tells you or implies underwise is full of it.

If you want to email me your birthdata at LLLOG@yahoo.com, I'll be happy to take a look at it.

ALSO - it doesn't do much good to go to an astrologer when you are completely depressed and fearful because the kind of reading will be almost the same aka you hear what you want to hear. In my opinion, the best thing to do in order to get you to be hopeful and optimistic would be to get your chart interpretted.

Rob Hand. Go to him, he does personal consultations now. Lanny is right, no astrologer should make you feel that way. Then again, maybe not put the astrologer in a position of power, ya know. No one should be able to MAKE you feel anything.

i think an astrologers job is to tell you the truth but also point out the ways to rise out of what you deem as difficult.within your chart there should be keys to energies that will help you through any hard aspects.focus on the positive, light dwells beside darkness in order to define it.focus on the light to find your way out of darkness.
one of my favorite books ,astrology a cosmic science, by Isabel Hickey says"no good astrologer tells a person what is wrong with them without telling them the way out of their difficulties.no one comes unbound into this livingness.the blueprint shows what we have brought over to work out in this lifetime as well as blessings we have earned."
i hope this comforts you.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I did want to add that I was NOT depressed when I went to the astrologer, but walked away from the experience depressed. I was optimistic and very curious, that is until I heard what they had to say to me loll. And I do think a part of it is my fault because I did give them power in a way, does that make sense? I put trust in them both because they have been practicing astrology for over 30 years. I can deal with the truth, I know that we all have difficult times ahead of us it's life, but what I cannot deal with is what they told me which was "I'm sorry I wish I could tell you things would be different, but this is in the stars for you." They were actually both very nice and sweet, but told me that there were no way to get around the things that were going to happen to me. One of them even told me, that the relationship I was in was not even like a real one, it was just a test before my marriage, mind you I plan on marrying the man I am with, but was told not to bother setting the date because it will not happen anyway, because I will meet a man that I'm "destined" to be with and marry him. I could have been OK with someone telling me "you will have this and this problem arise", but saying that this and this is destined to happen is what made me depressed.
