I'm wondering if anyone could offer some insight about this aspect. It looks pretty prominent in my Solar Return chart. Or about Venus conj Mars square Moon in Aries. And there's also Saturn inconj. Pluto. All orbs within degree...

Not everyone knows enough here about Solar Returns and may hesitate to try to figure that one out - but there are some here who do understand more. I encourage everyone to research if you can, in order that you may learn too. That's what I do if I don't know and I have the time to share it.

I'll bump this up for now ...

In a Solar return Chiron conjunct your natal Sun indicates that nothing will stay the same during the comming year. You will change the way that you understand your place in the scheme of things and the way that you express yourself in the world.

You may discover hidden skills you never knew you possessed. A chance encounter could spark a whole new field of learning ultimately providing a great source of healing. You have the chance to heal long lasting wounds, physical and/or emotional, and realign your identity with your true purpose in this life.

This will have to do with your pain brought about by those things, both materialistic and emotional that you needed as a child, but didn’t receive. Many of us are still following our childhood patterns of waiting around for someone else to give us what we need, and feeling hurt because we aren’t receiving it. The healing that takes place in the 4th house is the knowledge that we can give ourselves what we need, and we don’t have to be dependent on others. The realization that what we need has always been available to us, but until we stop relying on others to supply it, we won’t be able to get it for ourselves. We must also come to understand, and appreciate the fact that those individuals in our past were less than perfect and were doing the best that they could under the circumstances.

This next year may be difficult at times, its never easy to let go of illussions and dreams we internalize as a child, but like the moth, if you work at it you will emerge as a beautiful butterfly by the end of the year.

Thank you Gloria & Lanny

That explanation looks astonishingly accurate. This 'we can give ourselves what we need, and we don’t have to be dependent on others' has been sort of a theme for two years now. I've always been blessed with people, I guess I become depondent at some point of time. Now I have to get back to the basics. Back to being me.

I've tried learn more about Chiron in general. For some reason I don't get this gloomy fatedness vibe ascribed to it. Or may be I'm just too optimistic.

What's the difference between looking at your Solar Return, and looking at your Progressed Chart?

Solar Return is when your Sun is exactly the same degree as when you were born. A snapshot to tell you something about the coming year.

Progressions is something I know even less. Sorry.

Perhaps Lanny can be more specific.

AJ ~ What I understand about the difference is that the Solar Return puts the focus on the Sun. (although all of the planets & placements of the Solar Return chart are important too.) Whereas the Progressed Chart is a constantly ongoing chart that doesn't expire like the Solar Return chart does and it isn't focused on one particular planet.

...I hope I explained that right. My head is starting to ache and I'm blanking on some of the correct wording.

Hey Lanny Do you happen to know what it means when Chiron is trine the Sun in the Solar Return chart? Because I will have that aspect in my next Solar Return this September.
