Gah! So, after much staring at my own chart, visiting a career counselor, and listening to what my friends think I'd be interested in, I'm stuck at square one again. Not that I think astrology is totally an end here, but I'm definitely curious! Anyhow, a lot of the interpretations I've read of a lot of my aspects, and of course the Virgo Sun thing, say I'd be great in a service-oriented social worker or medical field type of job. Guess what! I could care less!!! HAHAHA. I refuse to ever work in the medical field, and my service-oriented interest is filtered through volunteering, not my actual work.

Soooo...I'm just curious as to what anyone sees in my chart that's not medical-oriented, social workerish, and not working with children career-wise...I can't seem to really figure this stuff out, despite that I've spent hours and hours of chart reading. *sigh* sometimes it just helps to get outside sources!

well...in my personal experience, the medical field wasnt something id EVER think id enjoy...ever but once i got into it, it was completely different then what i expected...true, i havent graduated from wiping ass yet...but its a very rewarding job, just knowing that im helping people do things that they cant anymore...things as simple as eating, and dressing themselves...i guess all im saying is dont judge a book by its cover, especially when its a high paying job thats in serious demand

Nope I'm still not going to touch it with a 10 foot pole. i worked as a medical receptionist and I got really tired of disgusting patients not washing their hands and I got 2 colds and strep throat in 3 months, and I rarely get truly sick. Then I had the joy of watching someone drop dead from a heart attack, another person crying and screaming from a terrible headache that couldn't be diagnosed as anything, and someone who abused narcotics threatening to beat us up if we did not give us drugs.

There's nothing I resent more than after me saying I will never do something, someone still tells me I should.

Here is my rudimentary interpretation/recommendation. I'd imagine being such a grounded triple Earth person you would have a good work ethic, enhanced by your 10th house being ruled by Capricorn... now where is Cappy's ruler in your chart? In the 5th house... which is all about creative expression... and it's conjunct Pluto and Mercury... so trnasformation, intellect...

Have you thought about maybe counselling... and not so much social work, perhaps you could consult in some way, like maybe a life coach or a corporate psychologist? Something on an intellectual plane where you help people bring about change. I think that your stellium in Libra would give you the balanced energy and your triple Earth energies would have you grounded enough to do something like that.

Also, you have Chiron in Taurus (as do I) which would indicate you would be a good teacher or counsellor... that's also along the lines of transformation and intellect... Those Plutonian and Mercurial energies have a good mode of expression if you were a teacher.

Let me know what you think!

Neat!! Teaching may be a good idea, especially considering what strengths I do have, and it'd be a good way to filter creative energy. Plus I like to babble constantly haha!! Counseling would be cool too. I reaaaaalllly like the sounds of life coaching, I keep forgetting that even exists! Ooooops lol. Psych is actually a past-time reading interest of mine that my career counselor actually keeps overlooking.

Time for me to go do some more career researching! I'm definitely going to go check out life coaching Thannnnnksss!!!!

Just a thought-
I've been really into studying writer's charts lately- and you have some excellent writing aspects-
Chiron and Moon- conjunct in first house, Venus in 5th, Mercury in the 6th; plus your second house, the house of resources is Gemini-coloured. Have you thought about writing at all? Maybe not fiction, I don't know... maybe you could write self-help books? (lol)
But seriously have you thought about writing at all? Or public speaking?

Well, sorry for putting the two cents (that you asked for in the first place) in, its never good to resent well meant advice when its asked for...all I was saying is that you shouldnt judge things on outward appierances...if you wanted to avoid the resentment, you should have said why you will not touch the medical field...maybe not in so much detail...just that you had previous bad experiences...then I wouldn't have said anything...I wish you the best of luck in finding a suitable career and the next time you ask for advice I'll make sure to keep my mouth shut.

Toothfaerie, you apparently didn't read my whole post, as I did not ask for advice telling me to re-think something i've actually thought about for a very long time, see this: "I'm just curious as to what anyone sees in my chart that's not medical-oriented, social workerish". So in fact, if you weren't even going to look at my chart at all, why did you reply? Your only reply was some defensive crap because I wasn't interested in a medical profession. Get over it.

So THAT was what I asked for. And obviously, I didn't judge the medical field on an outward appearance. And even if I did, big deal, if I didn't judge a bunch of other careers on outward appearances, I'd wind up going down paths that'd obviously not make me happy or didn't fit with my interests again and again. I resent people not paying attention to a damn thing I say or type, and if you don't like the detail I gave, honestly that's too bad.

Well, all I have to say is this is only an internet board, and I'm sorry that you are getting so worked up over something a random human from who cares where (me) says...that just shows a lot about your true nature...try not to take things so seriously...you will find yourself less stressed in the long run I think.

What a common, generic response. Here is a link for you that I think will help you with YOUR true nature, since you want to attack my personality.

You can think what you want to think, and i'll have my oppinion also, we could go around in circles for an hour if we wanted to, but that wouldn't lead us anywhere...so in conclusion, im going to bed...(I work nights and im being fuled by caffene fumes) so, like I said earlier, good luck with finding that perfect career.

Well, at this point I just think you're a huge ***** , and if I really did take this seriously, I'd probably be running away saying I"ll never post again and it'd take me hours to thikn of a reply. But, I am over here laughing at how you are. And how you couldn't answer my simple question about how come you couldn't just look at the chart and answer my question according to that. Maybe you should go read an astrology book. But instead, you take a cheap shot at how I take this too seriously and how my true nature is showing.

Whiterabbit - what other aspects have you found in these writer's charts? I've been told I'm quite skilled at writing and I found only two things (as far as I know) that indicate my skills...Mercury in Leo and Mercury sextile Venus. But I'm such a newbie at it all, there is probably something I've missed. Just curious though...

Lauren- it's not like I have found a particular pattern of placements in writer's charts, I have just been studying them and have found a general pattern- it's all my theory, though. Obviously- 3rd house, 5th house, also 8th and 12th placements; Mercury, Uranus, Neptune and Chiron- how they interact with each other, the Sun, other planets;
your placements sound good!
Where are your planets from the ones I listed, and what is in the houses that I mentioned? (just curious)

Whiterabbit - Even if the pattern of placements aren't particular I think its kind of interesting none the less.

My house placements are Capricorn in 3rd, Aries in 5th, Gemini in 8th and Libra in 12th. Planet placements are Mercury in Leo, Uranus in Sag, Neptune in Cap and Chiron in Gemini. Let me know if I need to be more specific...

whiterabbit - I just wanted to say thank you for your reply . Everytime I'm sitting at my career counselor's office, something in the back of my head just says "writing" to me...it's so weird. You are right on the probably not fiction part too I am so bad at fiction. I actually read lots of self-help books so me writing one wouldn't be out of the question hahaha! I actually have written a lot of online reviews for fun, and have an article I wrote on a website too . I should actually look more into that...I really haven't, because every career person I've talked to has attempted to discourage me from it. bleh!

VTT, I havent read all of this but I just wanted to pop in and say that I think you would do very well in a writing field. Maybe music? I meant to reply to this before because I get a strong writer's vibe from you. So it's funny that you think "writing" too. Your NN is in the 3rd too. The NN is "where we are headed". I believe I read some where that the moon and the moon's nodes can be career indicators. With the Moon in the first as well, I think you would make a great writer.

Good luck bebe.

lol 26T don't bother reading all of this *rolls eyes*.

It's so funny you mention writing AND music because I just found this paper my college advisor (radio/tv broadcasting major) gave me with a note written on it...and he said he think I would do so great in a writing job that combines music, like a reviewer in a music magazine. I can't believe I've forgotten about that note!

I'm thinking of jumping back into writing, I always get a kick out of putting reviews up on amazon.com. I should totally do more research into careers, my lack of knowledge of what's out there isn't helping!

Mercury in 9th, Uranus in 2nd, Neptune in 2nd, and Chiron is in 8th. Sorry I didn't include that bit before.

Well, since I'm still a student I haven't been published or anything yet, but most of the writing that I do is fiction. I'm also very interested in Medieval Medicine which I hope to publish a book about sometime in this life

Lauren-
Uranus in 2nd? Seems like a good indication of an unstable/unpredictable career and source of income- writing fits this perfectly of course!
Neptune in 2nd- could be interpreted as your dreams & imaginative side involved in money-making.
Mercury in 9th- seems like a good indication of an excellent mind- plus it could mean communicating about 9th house things- which is the house of teachers, so..sounds good.
Chiron- 8th house, in Gemini (hey, my Chiron is in Gemini as well!) well I'm still only learning about Chiron....but I strongly believe it's important for writing..your is in Gemini..healing others through expression..dealing with the big issues (8th house..)..I don't know, I'll have to think about that..

Whiterabbit - Thanks for the bits of info, I haven't ben too great at really analyzing my chart thus far. Yes, the Uranus in second does seem quite befitting of that type of career path doesn't it? lol Though I'm hoping if I do go that way with my career that it won't be too unstable...

Let me know what you come up with about Chiron in Gemini, I've been scouring the internet about this particular sign in Chiron and I've found some information but not a whole lot. Of course I'm sure it depends on the degrees etc. in one's chart.
