I'll say Juliet was a Pisces, and Romeo was a Leo.

I'll say that both were Piscean (deep emotions) and Scorpionic (obsession) to the core.
...And both probably had a strongly placed Venus in Pisces (martyr for love) as well.

In the Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo D and Claire Danes, Romeo is a Scorpio and Juliet is an Aries.

But my guess is they're both water signs, especially Romeo. Who else could get that attached that quickly ( save Aries, like my ex )

I agree with them being water signs, Romeo Pisces, Juliet Scorpio, or both Pisces! Cool question!

Great topic!

Hmmm I think they would both be Scorpios, with a lot of Scorp in their charts, because of the dying for love obsession, secrecy, soul mates and I think theres also some Aquarius in there- both are rebels and unconventional!!
They stand up for what they believe in, both are the first to get together from the opposite 'House's'.
And some Sag influence- truthful, strong, free, spiritual, oh also they would definatly have Libra in there too!!! (For obvious reasons..!!)
I think maybe Juliet had a Pisces moon, the dreaminess, romantism, martyr, sensitivity, and that Romeo had an Aries moon for courage, naivety, passion and strength.

I think I'll concur with Astro Junkie on this one... it just seems right. Aries would make a perfect knight in shining armor and pisces definitely the damsel in distress. LOL... think about what could have happened if they had lived: Juliet sulks in her corner because Romeo is ego tripping again, and Romeo gets all huffy because, geez, can't she just come out and say what her problem is?! Now his ego is crumbling and he thinks maybe her problem is that *gasp!* maybe she's in love with another man...

Even Romeo and Juliet would have had their problems, regardless of their sun signs...*sigh*

Bummer-- I think I just burst my own bubble

How can this be!!! I see you're talking about water signs but no one mentions CANCER!!!

Speaking of the crab, I think Julius Ceasar is a Cancer.

Oooops, AJ, you did say Leo. I think of Romeo as an Aries, but definitely fire, like you said.

TRUE NEWS STORY

"Italian Duo's Fate Like Romeo and Juliet?

Italian Husband Kills Himself Out of Grief, Then Comatose Wife Regains Consciousness

The Associated Press
Jan. 21, 2005 -

Evoking comparisons to "Romeo and Juliet," a husband in northern Italy killed himself out of grief for his ailing wife, hours before she came out of a coma, Italian state TV reported Friday.

RAI state TV said the husband visited his 67-year-old wife daily, sometimes coming to the hospital in Padua as much as four times a day, after she went into a coma after a stroke in September.

On Wednesday, the 71-year-old man committed suicide at the couple's Padua-area home, according to RAI and the Italian news agency ANSA. About 12 hours later, the wife emerged from the coma and asked for her husband, ANSA said.

ANSA quoted their pastor as saying the husband had told him he was very pessimistic about prospects for his wife's recovery.

The husband and wife, who were not identified, had no children.

I believe the Shakespearean story is fiction - perhaps based on reality? They say history repeats itself...
