Does anyone else kind of pay attention the moon stuff, and how their lunar return day goes every month? Because, I'm wondering if it's just me that every lunar return is the worst day ever hahaha! I know very little about them still, I know that they do tend to set the mood for the entire month...but omg. LOL. Maybe it's just because my natal aspects to the moon are activated during this time. There's some pretty hard ones.

Talk about Murphy's Law though...jeez...

I don't really pay attention to my lunar return- I never thought about it actually, I guess because it occurs every month- not like the other returns that seem to be a bigger deal because they're rarer. But I do pay attention to the moon's transit through the sigsn..I find I am very affected by it. And I can intuit the sign that the moon is in. Ugh..I ALWAYS know when it's a Scorpio moon..that's usually when I go crazy. I will look into it to see why that is...
But this is a great idea, I will pay attention to my lunar returns from now on.

Hey VTT, Hi whiterabbit,

Great question. I pay attention to my lunar returns. They tell you the "flavor" of your month ahead. Lunar returns generally describe the overall picture of your life for the period it is active (one month). It can help you prepare for what will come about in your life during that month. It also gives you ideas as to how and where you can bring out particular energies.

The house in which the moon is located for that month is an area you should focus your attention during the time of that lunar return (one month).

Think of the lunar return as setting the "TONE" for the month and the solar return as setting the "SCENE" for the year. Or you can think of it like the solar return setting the entire act of a play, and the lunar returns as depicting each scene within the act. Solar returns should always hold more weight than lunars, but it is good to pay attention to your lunar returns as well. Although I dont place too much focus on them, I think they should be looked at and are important.

Planets falling within 5 degrees of the angles are always important and their energies will be very strong for the entire month. Pay attention to these and the houses they fall in. The more planets near the angles the more likely that month will be very active and memorable.

Hope that helped.

when the moon is in pisces(my sun) im really emotional, and often open up so much that when it goes into aries im embarassed by what i said or displayed.yuck.
i also notice i get alot done work wise during virgo moons (not sure why though).

Thanks a lot 26t, very informative. I can't believe I'm just learning about this! I'm studying my upcoming solar return now and I'm excited! Lots of first house action- sounds good for some reason. A year of self-discovery, perhaps?

I personally find the Lunar Return charts very helpful.
...Even though I usually go bonkers trying to figure them out each month.
