For example, if your rising sign is sagittarius, but your jupiter is in gemini what would this indicate?IP: Logged |

it means Jupiter acts like a guest. it's not "his" home. so you are nicer than usual, like a guest.IP: Logged |

hahah archer i was gonna post a similar reply but you beat me to it....Rising sag opposed to jupiter in gemini....well first of all i'd say ur pretty glib, that is talkative, the position of your chart ruler yes is very important, but if the orb is less than 7 or so degrees between your jupiter's position and your asc then it doesnt' matter that much. Your chart ruler is just a really important planet, meaning that it is highly emphasized in your personality...i would interpret this to mean that what you do/say and what you really need to do to grow are COMPLETELY opposite. One of the huge tasks in your life will be to figure out why you get into certain situations/friendships that you later realize were the opposite of the direction you needed to go in. I'd say you tend to overextend yourself socially, and you may end up living too superficial an existence. Jupiter in gemini is detriment, which mean you may have trouble growing as a person...barring certain other aspects of course. I'd say this position indicates a challenge of finding greater depth and responsibility in your life. On the bright side you dont' have mars square your sun, asc, merc, and neptune, so you could be worse off, that is a cranky hellion like me. IP: Logged |

See if this rings true for you - "ASCENDANT OPPOSITION JUPITER
The position of Jupiter in the chart indicates where we find our greatest source of optimism and faith in ourselves, and life in general. If the Ascendant is the point of self, its opposite, the descendant, is the point of others, so you will tend to look to other people to provide you with faith in yourself and to encourage you to expand beyond your present limitations into new areas of knowledge and experience. You will be attracted to people who express the Jupiterian qualities of openness and generosity, who will provide you with their knowledge and faith and/or their money. Your expectations of what others can provide will be unrealistic in the real world, since very few people actually live up to our fantasies of them. This will lead to many disappointments until you realise that what you are seeking in others is a part of yourself that you are denying, or for some reason are afraid to express." IP: Logged |
