I just wanted to share this with the slew of bipolar posts that have been here recently, I thought this was pretty good and explained my own stuff I have going on too p.s. if this looks familiar to anyone it's because I grabbed it from another "message board" lol http://www.astradome.com/will_to_live.htm IP: Logged |

Moon/Jupiter - Strong Moon-Jupiter contacts in juxtaposition to a severely depressed person with Venus/Saturn or Sun/Pluto contacts alongside tend to idealize life; the split runs the other way, and the individual projects all the bad outside and identifies with a wonderful mythic world where he/she is the divine child of the gods and is entitled to special exemptions from the usual rubbish which lesser mortals have to put up with in life. This can be a rather manic patternthis is so true, i had this kindofa feeling that i'm gods own child! IP: Logged |

That's interesting. I never thought of Transits & Aspects as creating a split that way. It makes sense. The world is wrong, I am right. But sometimes it's also just a matter of exhaustion with the challenges of this world - it makes sense.IP: Logged |

I am sure there are plenty of us out there who have clinical depression, but I am the only Aries I know who doesn't have a perfectly sunny disposition.Pluto in 1 in Libra opp my Sun/Moon conj in 7/8 in Aries, combined with my 12th house Saturn in Virgo... it's kicked my ass on many occasions, but my Virgo rising made me get help and trust my medical professionals, and overall I lead a pretty good life. I'm not always sunny.. We all have our non-sunny times, even Aries . Though you're a double Aries, double the fire and the optimism one would think. You're prolly sunnier than you realise.IP: Logged |

Thank you for that interesting article...It was an intriguing take on astrology with depression... In my experience with my ex, who had full-blown manic-depression (Aqua Sun, Canc Moon), only some of these points applied. Depression, chemical imbalance and life's difficult experiences contribute so much to this unfortunate state. IP: Logged |
