Heart-Shaped Cross ps. im thinking of changing my name. "heart-shaped cross" is too goth-sounding for me. any suggestions?

"Women sometimes seem to share a quiet, unalterable dogma of persecution that endows even the most sophisticated of them with the inarticulate poignancy of the peasant. "Zelda Fitzgerald ... Perfectly describes closet martyrs and women like Eva Braun, Frida Kahlon and more recently, Hillary Rodham Clinton. These are women who believed in the dream long after the men they loved gave up on it. IP: Logged |

Zelda lived at a time when a victim-mentality was encouraged, and a proper education discouraged, in a woman. That might explain her views. All philosophies are just philosophies of a moment in time (Nietzsche said something to the point). "There is a season to every purpose", etc., etc., etc. And when exactly did Clinton give up on the dream?

When he stopped being faithful to his commitment to his family, his country and his purpose.I was merely remarking on your observation on Eva Braun. Sorry if the post was not perfect, I thought you'd get my general meaning. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I guess that makes sense, - to say that Clinton gave up on his family, and Hilary kept the faith in that respect.I dont know much about politics, but he seems pretty active still, and - at least, in contrast to some, - is still fighting the good fight. I did catch your drift. Sometimes, I take it for granted that a person knows I get them, when I only make mention of the things I don't get. I get you. IP: Logged |

Oh yeah ... I know how that works. Im not trying to astro-typecast here, but the last person who said that to me ... "darling, of course I understand you ... what makes you think I dont?" was a Scorpio Sun, Leo Rising male friend of mine too and that was right after he publically humiliated me for being such an obvious fool! But yeah, I get your drift too ... Got your shout out Heart--Shaped Cross - thank you very much. One good thing about keeping your name, if someone is away for a while, they may not know it's still you. We're used to your name. But it's ultimately up to you, of course. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |
