Topic: To Be A Cusp ! Boon or Curse !

Hi there, I don't know how many of you are cusp.I guess not many but I was just curious what is it like being cusp.I mean is there some personality traits,characters or looks which resemble both the signs or the first sign is more dominant compared to the second one.
Is the life more exciting,interesting or full of problems or difficult making decisons within yourself....like if you are Water/Fire, Air/Earth cusp or soemthing.
Is there some cusps are better than the others. As I answered the Archer of changing yourself for one day.I guess I woudl like to be Libra or maybe Libra/Scorpio cusp..What would it be like being Libra/Scorpio Cusp. I don't know whether it makes sense or not but I just want to know what is it like being Cusp...I would be glad to know.  GAL

Linda believed there was no such things as "cusps", you are either one sign, or the other. I personally agree with her... Usually when one's sun is near the end of their sign and they interpret personal traits as being both, (ex. Libra/Scorp), they will find that that they have other aspects in the second sign (ie; you are on the cusp of Libra/Scorp, your sun is 29 degress Libra, but you feel you are intense etc like a Scorp, you look at the chart and see that you have Scorp rising, or venus in Scorp, or whatever). I'm kinda born on a cusp if there is such a thing. I'm born Oct. 24th, however I agree with Linda too about being either one sign or the other.
I'm Scorpio with Libra rising, so If I act like a Libra sometimes it's because I have a Libra Asc not because I was born on a cusp.

Yeah, true.. oftentimes, a person born on a cusp will have important planets in the sign on the cusp... it works out this way due to the movements of the planets.. so naturally, they'd exhibit characteristics of the previous sign, as it is in their charts. I notice here, the people that talk about cusps with such one-sided theatrics(not you, scorpgal, or anyone who has responded as of yet)has the previous sign very prominently in their chart...... food for thought for sure.IP: Logged |

There is no such thing as a cusp,you are either one sign or the other.The idea here is not just to loook at your sun sign but allso other planets in your chart.I have a cancer friend who has moon in aries mercury,venus,jupiter in Leo and he is more Leo than Cancer.Look at the dominant features in your chart to assess who you realy are,and not what sign you fall under,because normaly we tend to admire the sign which we aren't.Besides astrology is more about the personality behind the sign,then the sign itself and what we are is just a combination of the personality traits of those signs present in the chart never realy fitting into a description of one!IP: Logged |

I too believe Linda said there are no such things as Cusps, and I like that because it helps take away so much CONFUSION and GUESSING ... HOWEVER - I do believe there is a bit of an influence when you are close to both Signs. The perfect example for me is Jim Carrey being born the same day (not year), as Andy Kaufman. Ok ....I had also read about Linda saying that there is nothing like Cusp.Now, I am going to send a chart of somebody who is cusp and I would like to know what kind of that person do you think he is . Is he more like Capricorn or Aquarian? He has got Ascendent and Sun in Capricorn and Venus,Mercury in Aquarian.What would you consider more important. Planetary positions

They are a Capricorn, without a doubt. But with the other stuff in Aqua, that's where they would get the feeling of being "cusp" or having qualities of both signs. They do have qualities of both signs, but NOT because they're on the cusp. It's because of the planets they have in AQ.As for which is most important: Sun, Moon and Asc...because Sun/ASC are Cappy, the location of Saturn is also important, as is Mars because the Moon is in Aries. Sure there are cusps..I am not sure if Linda mentioned that with time (probaly when we grow older) we shed one of the signs traits and take up the traits of the sign the sun really was at the exact time of birth. Spring does not arrive suddenly, the temperature slowly rises.

How odd my cousin is a cusp aries/taurus and acts alot like both. She carries no other taurus in her chart except for where it would say she is a cusp or whatever.------------------

It's wierd I wish I knew about a book that talks about cusps more. It can be confusing. I wish I could see some more charts of people who are cusps.
Is anyone here a cusp? And if so can we see your charts?

i'm born on the gemini/cancer cusp! (June 21)

Being a cusp sucks a** sometimes. Gemini's and cancers suffer from moodswings already and combined it sucks. Geminis can be bitchy, mean, cunning, moody, smart, sexy, and we also talk alot Cancers are sweet, sensitive, moody, adorable, cuddly, clingy, insecure, ditzy, smart, and we usually get along great with geminis.
Both signs can get depressed easily.

I am an Aries/Taurus cusp. I tend to get the "oh your strong" whenever people find out what I am. I think I feel like two people constantly. That Aries gets me into trouble with impulse and Taurus can be a stubborn, judgemental, grouch. I also have a moon in leo which doesn't help. People definitely don't give me crap! They tend to be intimidated by me. I guess it is a good and bad cusp. I love being a cusp though. I just tend to be confused about what I really want often. IP: Logged |

Pinki Taries I totally understand the situation of cusp having difficulty in making up their mind...
Ok now this is for everyone chart which I had send before.I am going to tell you the personailty traits having this chart.Tell me whether it sounds more Capricorn or Aquarian.OR Any of this trait can you identify with any planet position in the chart. 1) Although he is a work aholic he has gone bankrupt several times and has been taking loans and more on it.Got saved by his own unique ideas.
2) A very selfish person....always wants to fulfill his dreams and his needs even before his family.
3) He forgets many things
4) Money does not last in his hand for more time.
5) Can't organize things well
6) Very creative,Not at all practical
7) Very violent and gets angry easily.Can even hit anybody from family members to
girl friend on a very smsllest thing.
8) All his friends got married except him.
9)Can eaily give orders to others to do something but will not do himself.
10)At times unnecessarily possessive.
11)Can be very friendly one day and another day can be very dry.
12)Always have problem to make a decision.
13) A very low self esteem and inferior complex and thinks that money is needed to get friends.

I'm a gem/cancer cusp(june 19th),its ok to be a cusp...i'm mainly a gemini guy but i've got the cancer mood swings...and boy do they swing,my mood can change in bout 2 secs,i like the gemini part of me,I can do without the cancer part... it makes me such an emotional storm(coupled with my scorp asc and saturn conj asc...a very volatile mix),nobody really understands me,I dont understand myself.....I think cusps are basically because of the planetary postions at the time,they are either in one sign or in another which creates a perfect mix of the two adjacent signs.....I love lib/scorp cusp girls,they are soo magnetic and nice to talk too.....in love with one right now but she's got a boyfriend........grrr...... Hi All,
I am a Gemini/Taurus cusp, (May 22) my Daughter is a Lbra/Scorpio baby, (Oct.21). She has Venus conjunct her Sun, her Moon in Scorpio, as well as her Mercury. Her Sun and Venus occupy House 11, Moon and Merc are in her 12th. She has Sagittarius Asc, which her Pluto conjuncts, exact. My Sun, I think, is a singleton in Gemini. My Merc is retro in Taurus and, Venus is in Taurus also and all are in 7th. I have a Scorpio Asc. My North Node is conjunct her Scorp Moon.
This being a relationship between me and my child so, I think, would illustrate love in the unconditional sense but, we do get along, very well. When we do have the, occasional, disagreement, we can take each other and, issues are resolved quickly, both of us happy.
Personally, I could never relate to my Gemini Sun, I always read the Taurus horoscope, because the Gemini, very rarely, fit. Upon my, fairly recent, enlightenment, I now can. I see the cusp as being an experience that all of us get. I liked the comment about the seasons and, the process of their coming into being....... 'course, when in Colorado, one could argue that, Summer and Winter could occupy one and, the same DAY! 
My progressed Sun, is now, sitting at 29 degrees Gemini and, at this point in my life, the change is experienced as an evolving, an integrating. My natal cusp experience is more like a recognition,.... sorta,... I don't really know of a perfect way of explaining it.... / ~geminstone IP: Logged | |
