I'm not sure... but I think my Ascendent has moved from Capricorn to Aquarius... that's what this website says.. but then again, this is the website that did at one point think it was Pisces when it clearly wasn't.. it's messed it up a few times.. then it said it was Capricorn and for a good while now I was really comfortable having a Capricorn Ascendent. Now it's Aquarius and for the first time, I have actually been scared by the accuracy of astrology, because lo and behold- subconciously I have become more Aquarian... I have been away with the fairies all day and things people say often pass me by until 5 minutes later and I go "Really??"...... I'm very worried... I kind of liked having a Capricorn ascendent (Yes, I know, that sounds stupid).But is it true that as you move through life, you keep qualities from your last Ascendent with the new personality adding to it? Like being a Cap/Aqua mix?
Plus, doesn't this mean that the position of ALL my houses have changed?? THANKS FOR ANY INFO GIVEN:d

ummmm I'm pretty sure that your Ascendent does not change. Mutable what web site do you use? If you'd like you can give me your info and i will look it up for you. I have a program i just got that i think is very acurate.IP: Logged |

I used astro.com but it keeps getting things wrong. I suppose I'm scared that if I give you my info you'll say I've always been a Aquarius asc or something... but that's ridiculous because I dont THINK I've ever been like this before... mind you, it would explain why I click with Geminis so much...my data is 7th September 1990, at 17:10 pm.

That happened to me once b4 I thought my ASC was Virgo I let lalalinda do my chart and she told me that my ASC ws Aqua. I think the mistake happended with my birth time I put it in there incorrect or something so watch for that. It is easy to make that mistake.. IP: Logged |

I checked in an astrology book last night and it turns out I was right.
YOUR ASCENDENT DOES MOVE but as it goes along, instead of changing you completely it just adds more character aspects to you.
ie. If your asc was Gemini and it moved into Cancer, you would become more caring (or so says the book, mind, it was written by a Cancer).
So I suppose mine was in Capricorn and moved into Aqua... so now I'm more ditzy.

umm all I know about moving is progressions.. so if that's what you mean then yes all your planets and the ASC progress ..but as far as I know because everyone was born at a certain place and time - they get a certain ascendant which stays the same. It cant move because the time you were born doesn't change.That being said though I have a very late Gem asc.. When I was little I was the typical Gemini, very cheerful, talked to everyone and I have changed, I'm more thoughtful, reserved - not so quick to be-friend everyone and also more sensitive to people's emotions. That could either be because my first house is Cancer or because of my Asc progressed into Cancer. the diff between your planets + asc progressing NOT changing is that you still have the planets and asc you were born with and you'll have that your whole life - I guess the progressions alter it a little as you grow up and mature So don't worry you'll still attract cappy guys - it's all good lol IP: Logged |

ummmm... Ok, don't think I'm really stupid here but.... I don't really know what the progressed ascendent means. Hmmmm.But am I a Capricorn Ascendent or an Aquarian Ascendent? Does anyone know any other websites to try then? If it helps I was born in Surrey, England. Sorry, I'm only just learning about the ins and outs of astrology. IP: Logged |

If you're born at that time you're deffinetly a Capricorn asc at 16 degrees according to astro.com. I've never gotten inaccurate charts from astro. Maybe you mis-typed your birthtime like Mama Mia if you got a different asc.It's Capricorn no buts about it... Don't worry so much about the progression part. That doesn't mean your chart changes. Your chart stays the same. It just means the influences you have in your chart take on different flavours depending on the sign they're progressing through...Personally I find this very subtle. quote:

That's exactly what it is, for instance say your moon sign progressed into Taurus...that doesn't mean IT IS Taurus now...it's still Aries with a taurean touch to it, maybe a bit more stubborn, more calm, more earthy, but like I said I find this very subtle...(the progression thing is based on the fact that as you mature you change and grow as a person so even though you have the same influences they go through different stages) You can get a progressed chart from Astro.com under extended chart selection ..where it says "Please select the type of chart you want" scroll down to Progressed Hope I de-cludderfuzzeled you  IP: Logged |

^LOL, I have noticed that with Cancer rising types.29 degree Virgo rising (natally) here, progressed is at 20 Libra and my Pluto is just about to cross it at 19 degrees... wonder what will happen to my life in the next few months, it's exciting.
