Second house and Taurus are about values of all kinds.

Second house:

What you own; your resources.
Financial standing, money, possesions.
Peace of mind.
Repository of the strongest desires.
That which life is dedicated to redeem, therefore the house of values.
Earning and spending capacity.

Monetary and moral values.

Look to your second house and the house where Taurus is and any planets in that sign for clues on what and how you value things. What you hold dear to your heart.

When in doubt regarding these types of interpretations, try to think of each placement as a character with a personality. You have the House, where the action takes place. Read about what that House stands for. If you think of the erratic dreamer Uranus with the dreamy dreamer Neptune in your 2nd House - WELL - you probably attract people who are attracted to that "dreamy" part of you.

Do you attract dreamers? Or people who lead straightjacket lives who enjoy your freshness?

ur VENUS speaks about ur values

its sign, mostly
then house, aspects, rulership over houses and planets...

the second house is more about how u express ur values and ur sense of values... it's about how u earn ur money and also about ur self-esteem (how u value urself).

the second points to the material values, and ur 8th to the more spiritual/social values... that's probably why the 8th speaks of other people's values and how they impact you and ur life. others' money, too

The 8th is ruled by Venus?

The Moon is another money indicator of monetary things. I'll try to find some more info on this but I've read that alot.

And yes, you could look to Venus too. Venus rules money among other things, and rules Taurus and Libra.

hi thanx 4 the interesting replies one thing that has been bothering me my venus is in taurus 6/7th house one day if i do the chart it says the 7th house the other day 6th so does that mean i get both houses characteristics cause thats got me confused

and with venus being in taurus does that mean i share the same "values" with taurus ppl or just someone with the same venus sign

personally i have always felt that the first house and its planets have the most influence on a individual. i just look at it as everything builds on the first houses aspects.

e.g. I have Venus in Cancer and Saturn in Cancer and my Ascendant in Cancer all in the first house. this could have skewed my core beliefs (i loathe the term values) towards viewing everything with intense emotionality and intuition. but, with Saturn there as a solid, logical, and reserved counter balance; i tend to weigh things, finding a balance between each extreme. i like to think that Venus w/ Cancer in the first house helps me maintain a good sense of the limitations of humanity (and myself) as my most basic "value". it keeps me open and intuitive to the fact that we all make mistakes and have problems.

another big part of "values" is how you view, relate, perceive, and communicate with your fellow man. if you feel a certain type of people have no worth, isn't your "value" system ultimately flawed? so, Mercury & Saturn and consequently the third and eleventh house's play a large role. as would pluto as it along with uranus would set the tone of the generation's that we as progenitor or offspring would base or alter our "values" upon.

i hope i am making sense. i'm typing this after a long day and a drinky poo, lol. basically i'm saying "values" are determined by inner and outer planetary factors along with social history, personal experience, etc.

ok, nite nite.

The 8th is about shared values, shared resources, managing others, intimacy, merging. I would say the 8th is more about our integrity than the 2nd which is about what we value.

Running bull, I agree, with Mars and Neptune on the ascendant, I tend to appear as an Aries with a Pisces tempermant.
IMO.

Neptune in the 2nd is a good aspect to have, you dream of making things happen from your own ego, and are not reliant on others, or powerless, you will take the lead in relationships too. Creative, scientific and honest.
Uranus in the 2nd-makes a living in an unusual way, possibly through travel, or therapy.

Gemini girl, if your Venus is in the 7th escapism is possible, you would like games, movies, does this apply to you? are you in the healing arts instead? as in the 6th house? Everyone I know with Venus in the 6th is in the healing or people professions.
I have the same issue with Venus 4/5th, but I am pretty sure it's on the cusp of the 5th, and I interpret that as the 4th.

I keep coming back to this topic so I might as well answer, its not Venus (I know some will disagree) but Jupiter ( I hear you Archer ) as in morals, ethics and values

Venus has more to do with cost (value)

Just a question if anyone feels like answering...

I have Moon in the 8th in Capricorn... 2nd house Cancer (no planets)... and Jupiter 10th house in Pisces.

Someone said the first two aspects make me materialistic. Is this true? (I don't really see myself as materialistic) and what else could those placements mean integrity wise?

:edit: strange I just realised they're all related. 2nd house Can... ruler:Moon which is in Cap..Cap rules the 10th, that's where I have Jupiter hmm

jupiter rules the 9th

it is more about beliefs and culture

Right and Wrong, Good and Evil, the Truth, Beauty, God...

I used capitals for a good reason..

example: I have a Cap Venus: I like (value) clasical, long-lasting, proved-in-time, 'beautiful' but also-useful things
I'm more of a Nina Simone or Roy Orbison music, 'Sing in the Rain' film, black cloths, gold handcrafted jewls with real stones,

a Leo Venus friend of mine loves the 'fashionable' ones, it's one thing now, another tomorrow... he would wear plastic, if that's 'hip' now, next day he'll be 'crazy' about wool or some singer with a one-time hit, and so on... always on top of things...

my jupiter is in gemini, in mutual reception with mercury. and i have a 9th moon. I have a total of 22 years of school, with advanced studies and a masters in psychology and psychotherapy (Moon ruled by 8th house Libra Pluto)

and what made me so good was that my mutable 'faith' allowed me to be non-judgemental, and accept, with my heart!(moon) any belief-system that one client/human-being could come-up with. anything u believe in is fine with me! that's my Jupiter... and it being retro makes me not accept established religious rituals, but 'make-up' my own 'religion', something that I believe in for my own sake...

is it more clear now?
I like red and "Romeo&Juliet" for my Capricorn Venus,
and I believe in God because my Jupiter is in the 4th house in mutual recep with a 9th Moon, but I only go to church in my own terms cos my Jupiter is retro...
