Has anyone read this? I started reading it two days ago, and I am hooked!   What horoscope signs do you think the characters are?  Louis

Babette was a woman Louis first showed himself to. The first time was when Lestat killed her brother. Louis went to encourage her to keep the family estate. The second time was when Pointe Du Lac was on fire and Louis and Lestat needed a place to stay during the day. It was here that Babette asked Louis if he was the devil and that she had heard the stories from the slaves. At first she took them in, afterward, she threw a lamp at Louis and kept making the sign of the cross. Lestat beat the flames out with his jacket, then lounged himself at her throat. Hi Amy,I've read most of her books, too. Even have her "Sleeping Beauty" Trilogy (for mature audiences only!  ) Some of the later books are a bit tedious, but the original "Interview..." was so much fun.
I would agree that Lestat was perhaps a Scorpio, and Louis perhaps a Taurus...but I see Claudia as a fiery Aries or Leo. Enjoy!

Anne Rice is ab-fab!! I've read all of the Vampire novels, most recently Blood and Gold: The Story of Marius... so sexy!!I would say Lestat seems to posess a deep passion, in a jaded way, so definately seems like a water sign... or at least with a Scorp rising. Louis seems more Virgonian to me... certainly seems like an earth sign with his deep attatchment to human life and mortality. I would agree Claudia is a Leo or an Aries... center of attention, loves to be doted on, fierce and agressive. My two cents. IP: Logged |

Hi Amy -I get on to an author. Not sure that I have read ALL 25 of those books. Nelson DeMille -I have read all (or most)of his books, too. Just finished Night Fall. It is good. Word of Honor - that was my favorite. His books blend history and fiction. I like to read and escape at night - after work/after dinner. Usually have the TV on at the same time. Here's my take on it...Lestat - Definite Scorp!
Louis - Libra
Claudia - Aries I haven't read a lot of her books, but I really loved The Witching Hour... some parts were tedious and unnecessary in my opinion (it's a 1000+ page book... I think it should have been about 600 pages, heh)... but all the parts chronicling the Mayfair Witches... whoah... I couldn't put it down. Mesmerized is an understatement. IP: Logged |

I've been a HUGE Anne Rice fan since the late 70's (yeah I'm dating myself here  ) and I know those characters inside & out. LOVED the movie version of 'Interview With The Vampire', especially Tom Cruise as Lestat. ..ok my take on the characters astrology signs: Lestat - Aries Sun & definitely a Leo Moon with Leo Ascendant Louis - Pisces Sun & Cancer Moon with Virgo Ascendant Claudia - Capricorn Sun & Scorpio Moon with Libra Ascendant

Not Interview with the Vampire!! If anything should be remade it's "Queen of the Damned" GAH they DESTROYED that book when they made it a movie. Maharet and Mekare's story that was told by Maharet were my favorite parts in that book and the movie cut them out almost completely. Outrage. I wasn't impressed with the script either. The acting was good, Lestat was sexy as he should be and the music was great though. And I looove the videos they made, genius idea.<3 this scene http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyIW8CcfQrw Btw, I would give a Virgo Sun to Jesse.

The film was silly, I admit that, it was bad, it was, I donīt know, but still after having watched it for the first time, it was like the air in my room was crackling with electircity (not sure where that came from), and I remember, despite being almost 30 years old, I crawled into my bed, put the cover over my head, and did not even dare to get up to walk over to the window and close the blinds.
Totally irrational.
And the film did not even deserve that electrically charged reaction on my part.
I swear, those SAgs will be the ruin of me!

Personally I think Lestat would be a Leo with a lot of Pluto or Scorpio-influence. Wasn`t his human name Lion-court? Or do I misremember that? IP: Logged |

Yes it was, some variation of that, anyway. From the description of him in her books I always pictured him as a Leo Rising type. Super glamorous and arrogant with a love of showing off. With a brooding but powerful undertone. Like Scorpio or Pluto So Leo Rising, Scorp Sun, and while some might find this a bit odd I could totally see him havng a water/earth Moon. Possibly Taurus because of his love of fine things. And he's so damn stubborn. But so are Leo and Scorp lol IP: Logged |
