Hey viper...it is still early over here!! Calm down!! LOL...I think the fascination comes from Neptune contacts and 8th house stuff...I think. Off the top of my head, I know I have come across the information in my own chart but can't remember which and what. (I know, lots of help huh?? ha,ha)IP: Logged |

Well we're all into astro, so maybe people could post aspects they have that relate to 8th house, 12th house, uranus, pluto... or neptune and the moon or is that too many aspects? ok maybe just post the aspect or aspects YOU think make you astrological..I have Moon in the 8th, Neptune/Mars conj on DC... Chiron in the 12th, Pluto singleton - that's all I can think of - oh and with Uranus (that planet makes me laugh ) it's square my Mercury IP: Logged |

I agree, look at Uranus/Aquarius, also Neptune/Pisces. They really drink it all in and help make sense of it for the rest of us. The others approach it more esoterically, or just for fun or curiousity. At least that's been my observation. But even other Signs with those strong influences in their Chart might get stung with the sweet astrology bug.IP: Logged |

Uranus/Neptune aspectsUranus/mercury aspects uranus/pluto aspects Planets in aquarius AND planets in scorpio Any strong neptunian influence causes interest in the occult...but aquarian influences grant a robust interest in human nature IP: Logged |

I have been interested in metaphysics/the "occult" since I was 19 and walked into The Magus bookstore in Seattle's U-District and the people at the counter asked my friend and I point-blank, "would you like to be a witch?" Astrology hooked my interest to the exclusion of most other topics when I bought the 12-volume set by Noel Tyl and started studying and doing all my friends charts (by hand in those days!). I can understand that my Libra Sun and my Scorpio Mercury in the 3rd (education/the search for and gathering of information) conjunct Neptune (the world of illusion and dreams) could spur an interest in otherworldly studies. But Uranus is the planet of Astrology. I have Aquarius on the 7th with no planets residing there, Uranus is in it's home, the 11th, in Cancer. My Moon is in Pisces in the 8th. With all these disparate influences, which is the one or ones that have stimulated my continual study of Astrology?IP: Logged |

Here check this out: http://celestteal.bizland.com/sixth_sense.htm#Intuition%20&%20Psychic%20Ability%20in%20the%20Horoscope I've read/heard that Aqua/Uranus heavy in a chart. Nept. in the 3rd house. Lots of planets in the 8th house of course, along with 4th & 12th. I look for Nept. & Pluto contacts with Sun and Moon, especially the squares. And of course all water signs have tendancies, Scorpio is known as the sign of the Medium. I've also seen it noted that persons with Pisces' moon usually have tendancies to be quite psychic. Hope this helps. I'm in no way a professional, just what I've read and observed. I've been told that I could be a very powerful psychic based on having Neptune trine Saturn in the 12th, Neptune sextiles a Merc/Sun/Pluto conjunction, and Saturn sextiles the Merc/Sun/Pluto, when using Placidius the Merc/Sun/Pluto falls in my 7th house, using Equal it falls into my 8th house. Again, this is just what I was recently told and she was using the Porphery system which again has this conjunction fall into the 7th not 8th Good Luck. IP: Logged |

Hi, Viper! I've looked into this as well, and the general concensus seems to be that Astrology is definately a Uranian subject. Look for Aquarius or Uranus ruling the thinking houses, (3rd, 9th), or prominantly placed in the chart (1st or 10th), Aquarius personal planets (sun, moon, merc, venus, mars, even jupiter possibly)or any of these planets conjunct Uranus...Uranus conjunct the MC, or Aqua on the 10th cusp may indicate someone who actually does Astrology as a vocation. A busy 11th house, and/or heavily aspected Uranus is another indicator. The water houses and signs, when prominant in a chart will often produce a strongly instictual personality, with a innate understanding of human nature, but this doesn't specifically point to or have to be from and Astrological perspective. The influence of Aquarius or Uranus adds a quality of Science to the understanding of human nature. The water signs/ houses don't really require that "science" aspect, as they just KNOW stuff. A combination of the two, that is an intuitive AND scientific mind, is definately an asset to an Astrologer, though. My opinion. IP: Logged |
