When somebody's Mars falls in your 5th house, heart-pounding reactions and strong romantic/sexual desires and crushes can be activated. The Mars person WANTS you, although the attraction may not last long unless there are other stable aspects and positions in your synastry.

When somebody's Mars falls in your 8th house, you inspire deep sexual urges and physical desires in that person.

A conjunction of someone's Mars to any angle (that is, the Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven-10th cusp, or IC - 4th cusp) in your natal chart will pull out gut reactions and intensity of desire.

Mars-Sun conjunctions, squares, and oppositions usually inspire a need to make the relationship physical and generate a sort of "buzz" of energy between the two people involved.

Venus-Mars conjunctions and squares can inspire quite a bit of fuss and sexual interest, while Venus-Mars sextiles and trines offer a more pleasing, less in-your-face attraction.

Venus-Pluto conjunctions, squares, and oppositions are one of the most potent cross-aspects for sexual and emotional attraction. Although both people are generally attracted to each other, it is the Venus person who is the most enthralled and even obsessed with Pluto—Venus is consumed with the attraction. Ultimately, it is the Pluto person who has the upper hand in terms of whether the relationship is going to endure.

Moon-Mars aspects can generate strong feelings that are often both physical and emotional at once, with the Mars person involved taking most of the initiative in the relationship, which can be very attractive to the Moon person (at least at the outset of the relationship).

Venus-Uranus conjunctions and squares can generate so much interest to the point of enthrallment, and often result in sexual activity between people before they know each other well. This can be a confusing and destabilizing contact in the long term, but these aspects generally inspire initial attraction. When these relationships last, the Uranus person is often seen as inconstant by the Venus person and there can be many ups and downs.

Mars-Pluto conjunctions and squares are often powerful indicators of initial attraction and sexual intrigue.

Ascendant-Ascendant conjunctions, sextiles, and trines, while not as strong as the indicators above, give a pleasing sense of physical harmony.

When someone's 8th house planet or ruler of their 8th house forms a strong aspect with one or more of your planets, you will ignite passion in that person.

THIS APPLIES TO ME:

Venus-Uranus conjunctions and squares can generate so much interest to the point of enthrallment, and often result in sexual activity between people before they know each other well. This can be a confusing and destabilizing contact in the long term, but these aspects generally inspire initial attraction. When these relationships last, the Uranus person is often seen as inconstant by the Venus person and there can be many ups and downs.

Mars-Pluto conjunctions and squares are often powerful indicators of initial attraction and sexual intrigue.

THAT SUCKS.

How about you guys?

I have quite a few of those with G. The most telling is my Mars conjunct his IC and exactly sextile his Venus, which is in turn conjunct my DC!

Me and my dude's Mars both fall in each other's 8th house. Yikes. My Mars just happens to conjunct his Venus in the 8th too. Mm-hm, sugar! We also have conjunct ascendants.

We both have moon ruled Cancer on our 8th house cusps, and our moons are in a tight trine together. Interestingly enough, we have moon in the 1st, conj. the asc. in our composite chart as well, so I'd say it could be described as quite a lunar relationship. Emotional, sensing, somewhat hypersensitive toward one another at times, but very stirring on a subconscious level, and emotionally nurturing as well.

The rulers of our asc/desc axis are also conjunct. (My Jupiter conjuncts his Mercury)

We both have a Mercury ruled Desc. He is strongly Mercurial, with all his Virgo planets, so that fits for me, and I have sun conjunct Mercury, so that fits for him.

Mystic, thanks for the great synopsis!
There's a man at my work who stops by my office and yaks all the time. I'm extremely attracted to him, and he must have some interest in me since he's over every day with inconsequential things that could be handled by phone or email (!). I don't have birthtime but I found out his birthday and my Venus is trine his Mars by less than 15' and his Venus is square my Mars with orb 4. I think part of this is also the Aries-Libra polarity at work between us, our suns are less than 2 degrees oppo......
We'll see what comes of this magnetic energy!

don't forget about their Mars falling in your 2nd house, this makes them want to possess you. A Venus thing.

I'd like to comment on Lalalinda's post about Mars falling into the 2nd house. On one occassion I can relate. My Mars fell into an ex's 2nd house and all he was very possessive, but he didn't want to be controlled. I read though that if someone is around the same age as you and their Mars falls in your 2nd house it's significant for sexual attraction. It also said that the energy of the person with the Mars activates feelings of possessiveness in the house person.

Wow that post was really confusing in the beginning. Sorry I thought LL was saying that other person is possessive of you. Well in my case my mars fell in their 2nd house and they was the one that was possessive.

Kay Libra, Just taking your comment a step further, could it be interpreted that opposite houses work the same energy but in different expressions? You said 2nd house Mars seems to want to possess you, which is more or less an 8th house energy of sexual intrigue? The same if Mars fell in your 8th?

Sort of internal/external energy?

So a planet falling in my first house, good for my ego, and self expression (internal) in the same way a planet falling in my 7th (expanding myself with that person through my own first house)? and so on and so forth?

my boyfriend and i have these aspects

A conjunction of someone's Mars to any angle (that is, the Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven-10th cusp, or IC - 4th cusp) in your natal chart will pull out gut reactions and intensity of desire.

his mars is conjunct my ascendant

Mars-Sun conjunctions, squares, and oppositions usually inspire a need to make the relationship physical and generate a sort of "buzz" of energy between the two people involved.

his mars is conjunct my sun

Venus-Mars conjunctions and squares can inspire quite a bit of fuss and sexual interest, while Venus-Mars sextiles and trines offer a more pleasing, less in-your-face attraction.

his mars is conjunct my venus

Venus-Pluto conjunctions, squares, and oppositions are one of the most potent cross-aspects for sexual and emotional attraction. Although both people are generally attracted to each other, it is the Venus person who is the most enthralled and even obsessed with Pluto—Venus is consumed with the attraction. Ultimately, it is the Pluto person who has the upper hand in terms of whether the relationship is going to endure.

his pluto is conjunct my venus

Moon-Mars aspects can generate strong feelings that are often both physical and emotional at once, with the Mars person involved taking most of the initiative in the relationship, which can be very attractive to the Moon person (at least at the outset of the relationship).

his moon is conjunct my mars.
*my moon is square his mars

Venus-Uranus conjunctions and squares can generate so much interest to the point of enthrallment, and often result in sexual activity between people before they know each other well. This can be a confusing and destabilizing contact in the long term, but these aspects generally inspire initial attraction. When these relationships last, the Uranus person is often seen as inconstant by the Venus person and there can be many ups and downs.

his venus is conjunct my uranus

Mars-Pluto conjunctions and squares are often powerful indicators of initial attraction and sexual intrigue.

his mars is conjunct my pluto
*my mars is square his pluto

When someone's 8th house planet or ruler of their 8th house forms a strong aspect with one or more of your planets, you will ignite passion in that person.

his 8th house ruler is Mars and you see all the aspects his mars has to my natal planets (plus some unmentioned).

my 8th house ruler is Venus and you see the aspects my venus makes to his mars/pluto, etc.

fun times with my lover

Well, my friends are trying to get me together with a (yet another) Cancer guy, although I've been having doubts about him on an emotional level. Intellectually, he's totally hot. Physically, yeah I'd go for it. But even though there was a noticable amount of steam being generating between us when we've hung out together with our mutual friends, something didn't seem to be clicking on a deeper level. So my friend inquired about his birth data (it's so convenient she's an astrologer, so she just offered to do his chart LOL) and so I now know he's a Sag moon which squares my Virgo ASC/Pluto rising, my Pisces moon, and opposes my Mercury, forming a very neat and potentially volatile mutable Grand Cross . LOL. One mystery solved.

But check out there other aspects:

His Mars/Venus (conjunct by 1.5 degrees natally, and an air singleton by conjuncton) conjunct my 10th Sun/Mercury conjunction

His Uranus square my Venus, my Uranus trine his Venus/Mars

ASC-ASC conjunction (how do I keep finding these Cancer Sun-Virgo rising guys???)

His Sun (which is a cardinal singleton) in my 11th and trine my moon

My moon falls in his 7th, conjunct his DC and Chiron (and how do I keep finding guys with Chiron conunct my moon???)

His moon in my 4th and conjunct his IC

And if this isn't scary enough:

*double whammy* Pluto square Venus, along with his Mars being square my Pluto too

And we both have Pluto rising.

All of this scares me, honestly. He's attractive on certain levels, but that emotional uneasiness I feel seems like a huge red flag. This guy's got *3* personal planets as singeltons, and two seperate t-squares (one mutable, the other fixed). He has a bucket style chart with most of his planets from the 9th through IC, and with Saturn as the "handle" planet. He has Pluto conunct his ASC, and both Uranus and Mercury int he 12th. He's very intelligent, intense, intriguing, and sexual, but also seemingly very secretive, defensive and ambivalent. Oh, and then there's his *mouth* and what comes out of it - that should have tipped me off he had some sag going on in his chart. As great as the sex probably would be with this guy, I'm thinking I should pass on him. LOL.

So yeah, I think or the most part, those aspects probably do indicate sexual attraction, even if not emotional compatibility.

What happens if somebody's mars falls into someone else's 8th house?

------------------
aquarius sun, pisces rising, scorpio moon

He told me he was into 50 cent
and that he couldn't name ONE hit by Johnny Cash
Nah he don't like to play my kind of music
So I had to tell that boy
To kiss my A$$
So when the night was over, he walked me to my porch
&I bid that boy an overdue farewell.
He leaned in for a kiss,
And I slammed the door;
Then I turned on some Hank and cranked it loud as H*ll :)
