All my planets but one are in the 10H-3H (eastern?) hemisphere of my chart. I've read that 1st-6th House (northern?) hemisphere individuals can be mostly subjective while 7th-12th House individuals may be mostly objective, and similar generalizations. But I haven't found anything yet on the vertical axis division of a chart. Can anyone point me to some good references on this topic? Thanks 1,000,000!IP: Logged |

Thanks cristiname! I have Noel Tyl's 12-volume set, but I guess I haven't gotten far enough into it to find the hemisphere interpretations.....IP: Logged |

A.J. ~ I guess I couldn't find the right spot (articles?) at his website. Speaking of spots, I have a soft spot for Noel Tyl since I learned to do horoscope calculations by hand from his books in the 70's. His books are like a class, and since there are 12 of them and I'm only in "4th grade" maybe I just haven't gotten there yet.....IP: Logged |

cristiname ~ I'm sorry, my detective skills were sorely lacking, I didn't look far enough down the page in Analytical Techniques. This was really intriguing: "We can see and understand the orientation to defensiveness and self-protection (of the Ascendant) when the majority of planets are orientated to the East of the horoscope (and/or when planets to the West are conspicuously retrograde, calling attention contrapuntally to the East). The questions then, to guide the analysis, are, why is the defensiveness needed, how much energy has been routined in self-protection throughout development, what has this done to the comfort level with relationships, how long must this posture continue?"IP: Logged |

yap! sounds like Tyl alright..... he basically looks for potential and how it is expressed or repressed... if repressed or blocked, he looks for ways to release it... one step forward from just knowing urself - is probably BEING urself or ... the best version of yourself you can be, huh?
