Hi, everyone! I'm new here, and I was wondering how exactly does astrology effect animals?

The same way it effects humans, duh...the only difference being that animals reactions to planetary influences will be less complex, as their brains and social structures are less complex.

I have a Virgo lab and a Cancer terrier. That terrier is insane; the lab is a lovable lump.

I have a Taurus cat and a Virgo cat. They're both very home loving and hardly ever want to venture outside. And the last dog I had (who is now sadly deceased) was a Scorpio. He and the Taurus cat, who were astrologically opposites, were big buddies. And the cat needed the dog to be his guardian when he did dare to venture outside, and the dog needed the cat's companionship. I guess those opposites really did need each other! lol

I have two Cancer kitties and they couldn't be more different! The orange tabby looks and acts like a lion - aloof, regal and master of his domain. My tuxedo-boy is a little lover and only wants to cuddle on laps and lick face!

I have a Virgo Scottie that has somewhat wavy hair, curly when wet. Not a normal thing with a terrier... til I found out he has a Leo moon.

response to an earlier post:
BR

First, humans are also considered animals and as far as animals (your definitions of) being less complex and having less complex social structures i think you might want to read up about other primate social behavior, bonobos for example or even ants (i know, not a primate). Sure we could get into a debate about how much is instinctual but i think that argument can be carried over to us as well.

I have a pet giraffe who's a capricorn with leo moon....sometimes on rainy days he whispers in my ear his plans for global domination, but i'm like Mr.Winford you're only a giraffe, how can you rule the world? and hes like look how long my neck is beotch!!!!

Ladyla.....Actually I took an entire course on primates...their social structure and brains ARE less complex than ours, as our ants society and brains (if you want to call it that)....i never said astrology didn't apply to them, it appears you need to brush up!!! If you think that bonobos social structure is as complex as ours, I think you need to go join them in their constant jungle humping. One word will prove my point: Language.

Okay I am a primatology/ anthropolgy major and have take more than one course in animal behavior and oh yeah, i also work at a zoo. 'Nuff said. Anyone who knows anything about animals knows i am right and therefore don't feel the need to defend my point but apparently you do so as is your usual spirit flame on.

It seems whenever this subject of our pets and astrology comes up, we are always amazed at how pure a reflection they can provide. Everything I've ever studied or observed about this has been very promising.

Christinaeavynwarner Welcome! Funny 'cause I asked the samething when I first came here.
I have to say that I think it does apply to Dogs, Cats or any other animal pretty much the same as people. It may be a little harder to tell because of the fact you can't listen to them talk the same way we do, but the traits are the same!
I have a cat who is an Aquarius, she is skittish, does strange things and is very smart! She is also stubborn. My rabbit is a Taurus, he is Gentle, loving, affectionate, but very Stubborn and a little cheeky!
Well, hope you enjoy the board! and please, Ignore rude and brash comments from people like Blue Roamer!
