But, patience and self control really are two entirely different things. Pisces are extremely patient in terms of life's follies - they just take it all in stride. Fixed signs (especially Scorpio) can have amazing self control because of the fixed ability to "stay the course". Just damn stubborn, those fixed signs are.

Cardinal Signs sort of let you see right away what it is they are experiencing, which is one of the ways Cardinal Signs tend to "lead" people, or can get others onboard.

Mutable Signs may seem patient sometimes. But their Mutability also accounts for some of their inability to stick with one thing, and only one thing, for too long.

Self-control? I think that's such a misunderstood and misinterpreted word. Without more specificity, I hesitate to say much on that. It always goes back to the old "God grant me the serenity ..." thing.

Although my Sag Sun / Aries moon is quickminded and I like to be on the go..there are certain things where I am so patient it makes people crazy.

I can put up with ALOT..my last marriage was pretty hard, but I stuck it out, without complaint because I thought I needed to make sure we tried everything. Most of my friends and my family kept telling me they would have left after 6 months, but that would have been too soon to see if we could fix things.

I was the same way with school...taking on tasks, being patient with my experiments, studying..etc... it just seems that when it comes to career and learning, I can have the patience of Job..

Mostly it is evident at work. Again, I can put up with even the most stressful environment. It took my last boss 4 1/2 years to finally get me so angry that I looked for another position, yet he never knew. He knew I didn't like him, but I would never give him the satisfaction of knowing that I was miserable. I just kept on..exceeding what was expected of me, but still taking careful notes of what was going on and the corruption taking place..just in case (Pluto conjunct Asc).

Heck..I am even being patient now..living in this smaller than what I am used to town and still trying to find a job...for almost 6 months now...But...I have a feeling (LMAO..So saggie) that something will come through.

reading other replies, I also tend to be a prime candidate for putting up with a lot, because I am very patient with others and put with a lot. Let me repeat that - A LOT. I am pretty tolerant of other people's foibles, but find certain individuals expect the red carpet treatment for their weaknesses (yes they abuse it)

as as far as things go for myself, I am very impatient when it comes to waiting in line, driving and things involving only myself - try to get things done in the speediest way possible to move on to the next thing on my list. When it comes to people - I'm more tolerant. I should learn to descriminate and tolerate less c***

i always read stuff before reading the name and when it comes up to something you post i say - omg, so am i?

i'm sun in sag and moon in aries - i put up with a lot too. i mean, I could swear that i'm a magnet for abuse but i hang in there. i do excel at work even though i see what's going on but i'll leave eventually and know in the back of my mind they will never find anyone as hardworking and productive as me. my family is the same also but that's okay. at least i don't gas out like i use to because i have been know in the past to bail out in the middle of the night and not looked back but i have to do it "right" or i might end up right back there. i'm patient but plotting all the way.

i do have a short temper but here is the kicker - mercury in capricorn in the 6th house does it for me communication wise and saturn in virgo does it for me physically. even when i'm impatient and about to loose control - the steam is underneath and it comes out kind of off compared to how i really feel unless, i'm ****** and then i say things and don't recall what i'm saying or the person replying is saying - must be the mars in leo in the 12th house which makes me flip defensive that quickly.
