Hi, Prox... It's called www.nodeorama.com (or north-node.com) but I have to warn you, it's not at all like this one. The webmaster is a web-warden (Aries sun, Cappy rising, Leo moon). She does not allow deviation from the subject of the thread, nor personal conversations, nor chart interpretation ("Can you look at me and my boyfreind's synastry and tell me if it's meant to be?? PLEAAAASE??? - uh, no - it's not that kind of site. ) One could describe it as being somewhat clinical, and alot more like a class-room environment/discussion. Not totally silly and personal. We only share what is relevent in terms of our own experiences with various aspects natal/transits/synastry ...etc. According to the subject at hand. It's not for everyone, but us non-personal Aqua moons can handle it. (my Leo stuff sometimes makes it hard for me, but I manage) It does have a kind of neato feature where you can send private messages to anyone on the board, so if you want to get personal, or help a certain person out a bit with interpretation, you can do it that way. Some folks here go there as well, and some have been banned for not being able to follow the policies there. They are too use to the "anything goes" nature of this place, so they just can't handle that one. IP: Logged |

yep..yep..Lioneye is right on..and if you do get personal too many times, they will ban you Hey Lioneye, is it me or did the format kind of change? I haven't been there for a while..just been kind of busy, but I can't seem to change the color scheme to what I want. LOL.. Talk to ya later - ~Pidaua IP: Logged |

Hi, Pidaua I didn't notice - but the color scheme is still the same for me as how I set it way back when -And, I have to say, it's kind of refreshing sometimes to not have all those personal cries for help filling up the board. Sometimes, it's cool, though, when I'm in the mood for it. (so I come here) But, it's kind of made me leary of turning a thread into "all about me". I guess it's kind of taught me some message board etiquitte...not that I tend to do that anyway - but you know, when someone says "hey, how are you doing? What's new?"...I'm hesitant to reply or encourage that because I don't want to throw the thread off of it's original subject. I guess that can be frustrating for the person who started the thread in the first place, with the intent of looking into a specific subject, ya know? IP: Logged |

PS - there tends to be alot more input from males there too - I guess the impersonal nature of it is more appealing to them. IP: Logged |

Having visited that site, not only do I feel very stupid because I understood barely anything anyone was going on about (stupid Virgos are unhappy Virgos) but it seemed so distant... I mean, even the blue-ness of it all..... I guess my Aries Moon just couldn't take the formality of it! That's why I like this place.. very loving! Warm'n'cosy. Damn, I'm sentimental. I want a hug When I know more about astrology I'll try go back there.... IP: Logged |

Hey - that's kind of neat. This site is all pinky and personal, and over-run by females, and that one is all bluey, and impersonal (the focus is on the subject, not the posters), and it has a much larger population of male posters.the armchair sociologist in me says...hmm...interesting.... LOL...Mutable..it just takes some getting used to is all..I liked going to that site, just really haven't had that much time- but My Aries moon got along well with it..Actually, Nodeorama, I believe, has a Sag Sun, Leo Moon and Aries rising. Molly, the moderator set it up that way. There is so much to learn and Lioneye is right, while at times this site can be very informative, the other site is exclusively for those that only want to learn about astro and not get to personal or friendly. I think it takes a balance, but they do give the option to chat and talk to people off board. IP: Logged |

Hi Lioneye, Hi Pidaua, Hi Proxieme.I heard ya chatting about me and I wanted to poke my head in and say hello. Web-warden, I kind of like that. I'm actually Libra rising, not Cap. But I do have Mars conjunct Saturn, at times I'm like the Sarge, I admit (but over the years I've learned to be softer). And Node-o-Rama's chart features Saturn in the 10th house. I didn't actually set it up that way intentionally. Node-o-rama was an afterthought when I was building my website, north-node.com. Then it sort of took on this life of its own. It does have a very strong chart, but it was a complete accident!! When it first started, it was anything goes, and we got a lot of those cries for help you describe. I felt responsible for everything that went on, and it got pretty overwhelming. So now we have strict rules. Mutable Night Force, I'm sorry you felt intimidated by it. All levels are welcome, you could start out saying, "I'm Virgo and I see life in this way...." and that would be groovy cool. But I understand you wanting something more touchy feely. (We actually do have a pink color scheme available now. I just added a chat room too.) Anyway, that was probably way more than you wanted to know! I just wanted to say hey, and come see us again sometime. Best wishes from the Web-warden IP: Logged |

Thanks for the insights on node-o-rama, prox & lioneye & pid, and I'm glad you stopped in mollsballs (neat handle )I've been to your site but not your forum Ms. Molly -- I believe I shall visit. The pleas for help here at LL can become overwhelming sometimes. I just spent a bunch of energy (willingly, don't get me wrong) attempting to pass on experience and knowledge to someone who asked for help but really only wanted validation and support for her unhealthy choices. I believe I'd like to join a more astro-centered group, if you'll have me 'Zala IP: Logged |

Molly does a superb job (Molls is an excellent writer! Interesting too!!) each and every month on her north-node site with a monthly forcast! Very informative and for many of you who are wishing to learn more about transits and current influences, Check it out!Personally, I have yet to join the forum there but peek in regularly--and yes, Molls, you are the 'web-warden' with strict guidelines yet good intentions! (Forum for Astrology discussions with integrity, not a replacement for challenged people who desperately need psychiatric professional help!) Buddhism says we "make effort" at the things we do in this life. This means that...we may fail, in fact we often fail, but at least we TRY to do the things that we think are right to do. And, never forget that MANY people read but never post. Who knows how many people in a similar situation in their lives, read your words, wised up, and got out of their destructive relationships. Making effort, Tim IP: Logged |

Hey Molly, How are ya? I am glad you stopped in to LL. I haven't posted on nodeorama in a bit, but I do visit from time to time to see how things are going. Being the typical Sag, I seem to come and go often LOL... I hope all is well. ~Pidaua (Centaur-girl) IP: Logged |
