I was reading my friend's chart and having trouble interpreting this. She has natal Sun and Venus in Leo. When Saturn goes into Leo, it'll retrograde 2 times in this sign. Saturn will go stationary and then retro on the exact degree of her Sun, and then a few months later, it'll retro on her Venus at the exact degree. I'm wondering what this means for her when Saturn starts its retro on her Sun and Venus? Or even in general, what does it mean when a planet retros on a natal degree? She's getting married later this year also. IP: Logged |

My guess is it will be a real hot spot for those Saturn energies and lessons will have to be gone over and then rechecked or redone. I will be having my Saturn return eventually and noticed it too will stop on my Saturn and go retrograde only to come back and give me a new Saturn return chart.I bet she will be learning the lessons that Saturn is bringing to her Sun and then Venus and then have to go back (retro) and redo a few things before she can complete the lessons. When retrograde planets touch a natal planet then go backwards there are somethings they need to "finish up". They should resolve themselves when the planet contacts the natal planet and moves past it for good. That's what I've learned. IP: Logged |

Ah ok. That makes sense. So, if Saturn retro'd a few degrees before her Sun or Venus, she would be involved in the lessons of course, but because the retro will hit her natal planets to the exact degree, the impact of the lesson will intensify. I was just hoping this doesn't spill over into her soon-to-be marriage since Venus will be involved in this retro. But of course, that's not my call to make. She's usually good about learning and understanding though, so she will hopefully be ok. I remember when I had my Saturn conjunct my Sun few years back-hard times, but brought maturity to my personality. She is already mature though so I think it will affect something else. Guess we'll have to wait and see. IP: Logged |

If you really want to see if you can find something which you can then translate to them in order that things will work out, I'd look at their Saturn's, their 10th House, or any Planets in Capricorn. At least one of them must be accomplished to a great extent, in all things Saturn/10th House/Capricorn in order for the foundation to remain. Also look at any Planets that are in the other's 10th in Synastry. Saturn is tough, and much like Pluto, does not take no for an answer. If they make it through, it will prove they have something really strong. IP: Logged | |
