After all the Libra discussions we've been having and I have put my fair share of constructive ciriticism in there (hope its constructive), i realise that my descendant is in Libra - does that make me as prone to the traits as Libra suns, moons etc etc. The reason I ask guys is , you see, I have been married three times so am not the greatest at relationships - is this affected by my Libra descendant..........I stand ready to be criticized. Love and thanks xxx

No, I don't think it makes you "as prone to the traits" of Libra Suns/Moons, since this is all about The Other/The Partner. I can't answer this with aspects since I'm only in about 4th grade at astrology school, but from my reading, the Descendent or 7th house of Partnership indicates what you are looking for as your complement, what qualities will balance you, the energies that can provide what you believe you "lack".
I have an Aquarius Descendent, and I've had many strange (let's call it Uranian", or "non-traditional") relationships. I never married any of my long-term fellas because I wasn't ready to commit to Forever.
But the Descendent doesn't tell the whole tale of Who Will Be Your Forever Partner. My greatest loves have been the three Fire signs, perhaps because of my Ascendent I'm looking for someone like me? I don't have the answer....
You write you've been married three times, where is your Sun and Venus? In my off-the-cuff Libra way, may I gently comment that perhaps under the Libran influence you did not make the best choice of marriage partners? Please I intend no offense, since I have not made the best choice of partners either. I've been reading a lot about Chiron lately, but I haven't gone back and tried to run the Chiron aspects on my long-term partners to see if we had what the Magi Society calls Romance Linkages (I've written to their website to get information about that software) and I'm still looking into that facet.
PS: That's very brave of you to stand ready to be criticized! You haven't done anything worthy of scathing retribution by Libras, have you?!?!?

Hi Sue, I have a Gemini descendant conjunct Mercury and my Sun is conjunct my Descendant. So I am very typical of a Libra, or Libra descendant person. Relationships are very significant for me, although each relationship is not so much significant in itself. I push people away and then want to be close. I find myself very similar to a Gemini/Libra Moon, or to a Gemini/Libra Ascendant/Sun/Venus/ person.

I don't know why you would think you are hypocrite, but I can't stand hypocrisy in general. Air Descendants are very open minded and care about the truth.

I can't stand Libra men sometimes, but that's because I see a lot of my needs in them. Only I push harder to realize those goals.

A Libra Descendant like John Lennon, would make you a team player, but you are a leader of the team, so you do have ambition.

Do you get along with Libra risings?
I find they teach me a lot, but tend to leave my life quickly after causing a lot of upheavel.
