Hi All!It's been some time since I last posted. I am needing help figuring my son's rising/ascendant sign. I've received two different sources with two different answers and am not sure which one is correct. He was born November 18, 2003 at 3:57 p.m. in Austin, Texas If anyone could help clarify I would greatly appreciate it!!! Light and Laughter, Lioneyes

Lioneyes ~ You didn't list your sources, did you try http://www.astro.com ? Go to the Free Horoscopes menu item at the top just under the website title bar. I think you can also get a free one at Astrology.com http://horoscopes.astrology.com/Homepage.html?ice=ast,tabh,horo&arri valSA=1&cobrandRef=0&arrival_freqCap=2 -- go to the blue section on the site map at the left column and try "Chart Shop"......IP: Logged |

Hi Geminstone,That is what I got at both web sites. It's just weird cause a had a woman figure his chart and she came up with Taurus. She is very very good and highly recommended. I don't know. Thanks for your help and thoughts! Light and Laughter IP: Logged |

Hey Lioneyes,Are the degrees very close at least? Like if she got Taurus, and everywhere else says Aries, maybe she was just a couple of degrees off for some reason. Like, if his asc is 28 Aries and she got 1 Taurus.. or somethin like that IP: Logged |

Hi aries-chick,From the report from astro.com I have, it says the asc is 27 10' 12". The declination is 10 27' 56" N. I am not sure what this means though. Does this mean that it is close to the edge of Taurus? Thanks for the advice and interest! Light and Laughter IP: Logged |

Perhaps the woman accidentally had the time as 3:57 am.........Everywhere I checked, Asc. comes up as ARIES 27.10.......Ha, I thought you were Lioneye........I just realized you are Lioneyes, too funny.....I couldn't figure out why Lioneye would be asking this question, threw me off, lol. noreez - it could happen. lioneyes - HI - (love the name ) which sign appears more often in his immediate family? Like, we know you must be a leo, but what is your moon/rising sign, and the main 3 of his father and any siblings? Family astrology often all fits together somehow. Is there Taurus in the family? Or Scorpio? Scorpio rising? Look for conjunctions and oppositions to both possible rising signs. The one that appears to make more contacts within the family is probably his true asc, at least in my own observations. IP: Logged |

Hi again Lioneyes, I think I figured out what was done on the chart you had done for him. The person that did it used Local Mean Time.... when done this way at 3:57pm in Austin, TX, the Ascendent is at 7Taurus. ~ geminstone ... by the way, who was it that pulled the chart up for you? I recently met with an astrologer who lives around the corner from me, and she says that a chart will only be correct when LMT is used... Just curious IP: Logged |

Hi there geminstone,Very, very interesting!!! I wonder...to use LMT does that change any other parts of the chart? The woman who did my son's chart actually is a 75 year old woman who took courses/seminars from Linda Goodman in NY. What do you think is more correct LMT or the other? My son is so young I really have a hard time trying to read him. Especially since they are both infant/baby signs. Stubborn and determined stick out in my mind. hahaha!~ well the list goes on. Plenty of very positive thing on both as well. Just trying to help myself and husband to parent him better~ the quest I'm sure that never stops! The idea of checking the family stuff makes sense to me but our family is so across the board it is really hard to tell. My info: Sun Leo, Asc Leo, Moon Aqua My Husband: Sun Scorp, Asc Sag, Moon Cancer My Brother: Sun Leo, Asc Libra-I think My Mom: Sun Sag, Asc Scorp, Moon Virgo My Dad: Sun Cusp 21st Dec either Sag or Cappy, Asc Aries, Moon ? My husbands Mom: Sun Taurus My husbands Father: Sun Taurus Thanks for taking the time to check it out. At least now I know why she is getting the Taurus and everyone else is getting Aries. I really means a lot to me!! Thanks so much! Light and Laughter IP: Logged |

You know, I am still undecided. I tend to lean to the LMT but, I have the opposition of my husband about it, to keep me wondering... I'm still learning about astrology so, I'm of no use in interps. The woman who put the thought into my noodle, is about the same age....hmmm. I have all of her books, including the one she wrote that covers this LMT cast. She does peek in here, on occasion, too. I have an easier time absorbing things, in her style of writing, her thought process. The odd thing is, that my Hubby likes her books, as well...? He just does'nt agree with the LMT. As far as the chart placements, yes, and just for the sake of making it easier, if you go to astro.com, pull up a chart, leaving the program to determine the time factor.... then pull it up and, use the edit and check the little box that says, " use manual time zone". When the screen returns, use the drop menu, Local Mean Time will be the last on that menu. Now, be forewarned, a message will display saying something to the effect of the chart may not be correct. My Husband's was most affected. He was born in Dalhart. His MidHeaven moved a full 30 degrees and, his Ascendent went from the beginning to the end of it's sign... I think that, as far as astro.com's profile, it fits us with LMT but, ....? ~ geminstone IP: Logged | |
