Hi all,
I realise that I am missing out all the major aspects of an individuals chart but I was wondering about the Asc. If it is our mask, and then when you get to know someone you may drop the mask, how important is it then? I'm a Sag Sun/Cap Asc. For example, I love libras for when I am my Saggie sunny self but i've noticed that my Piscean friend soothes the Cappy part of myself. Am I making any sense at all? I worry a lot which may seem unusual for a Saggie and i like to plan. The watery nature of this Pisces seems to calm me. I guess my real question is, is how important is the Asc?

Without the Ascendant, you wouldn't have the house/sign positions of the rest of the chart... therefore, it is a huge huge huge part of the personality and where it all makes sense.
The Ascendant is more than the mask.. it colours the way we see others, ourselves, the world..also how the world affects our health/consititution. For instance, when I see descriptions of traditional Scorpios, this isn't me at all.. but when hearing of Leos, wow.. there's me, right there. Leo is my Ascendant. The deeper layers of my Psyche is definately Scorpio..... But the influence of my Ascendant is disproportionately large for me. I always thought the Ascendant was amazingly important. Like pixie said, because of your entire house placements and stuff...

I love my Capricorn Ascendant!
But, I mean, I think it's the combination of your Sun, Moon and Ascendant that makes a lot of the person.

What is important about your Asc. is how it relates to your Sun and Moon. With an easy aspect (conjunction included) from the Sun to the Asc. the you inside is compatible/complimentary to the you outside. There is no inner conflict with who you are and who you show the world.
These are nice personality aspects.

They also say the moon has alot to do with your emotions.

Thanks for asking!
My daughter is awesome, she's going to Disney on ice tomorrow night. I can't take her, as my maternal instincts stop there, when I can't bring myself to collect cute animals or statuettes, or watch people in suits skate when I am worried about what would happen if they fell.. ( The Horror!!)
I will still oooh and awww over alot of things, but the cute-meter won't let me watch anything-on-ice. Her Nana is taking her.... Both the kiddios are enjoying March Break. We are buying "The Incredibles soon, and I am excited about that.
She's sparkling right here, rght now, bickering with her brother. WWheeeeeee!!!! Kids are quite funny when they annoy each other, really..... and I remember having an older brother to annoy as well.
