Just thought i should connect with any of you fellow aquarius risings. I was wondering how do most people percieve you with regards to your personality. I know what the experts say and i have a hard time veiwing myslef as eccentric, although i am unpredictable and need a lot of space from people.

How does this rising affect everyone else? And any tips on channeling the erractic energy it provides. I read that you should work on your own schedule and not try to fit into a set schedule all the time.

Good Morning M' Suzyque.

I also have Aqua rising w/Virgo Sun and Aqua Moon. My personality is somewhat "kookie?" haha......When I think of eccentricity, I think of those who are **way-out** there, and I don't quite fit that bill. My mother-in-law and one of best friends are also both double Aquas and I wouldn't say they have eccentric tendancies either. The need for independance is strong....I absolutely refuse to be committed to something like volunteering 1-2 times a week in the kids class rooms, am more than happy to help pretty much at any time, but commit to being there, nah....my most favorite word is: Tenative Let's tenatively plan this or that..lol Have only recently started working again after 15 years.........the perfect job, I work with a friend who lets me have my space...the Virgo side of me is a workaholic....I do pretty much work the same hours each week, but I know that if I wanted to go somewhere or do something else
I am able to. There is a rebellionistic side to us that hates to have to do or be somewhere if we don't want to.

I do have to say that learning I was double Aqua really helped me understand myself better.

I had never ever given any thought to needing more freedom than most, but then again, like attracts like.....most of the people close to me are similar to me, so had never really thought about it much. Once I did stop and think about it, looking at others not so close to me, I could definately see it.

haha, I just noticed in another thread that you are also Virgo. I think being Virgo and Aqua, we are sometimes, not always ....a mass of contradictions.lol

Hi noreenz, you are so right about being a mass of contradictions. I don't even understand myself sometimes. Yea i feel the same way about not being commited to things, just being able to say that you will do something when you want to do it. I should learn to be more tentative when i make plans, i am always getting ideas to do stuff i make plans to do it, then i change my mind at the last second. I guess it makes you seem kind of flaky, but i can't help it. From now on i will be much more tentative when i make plans, that way i have room to manuevr. Actually i seem to have noticed that people who have strong aspects to uranus or uranus in the first house tend to act out the more eccentric tendencies of aquarius. Don't you think?

Hiya everyone:

I have My moon and Rising sign in Aqua as well as two other major planets. Until I started learning about astrology I had no idea about all this stuff. I can be detatched and aloof about so many things I sometimes say to myself dang I should have just been a Aquarius. I love alot of freedom I can't stand for ppl to dictate to me or tell me what to do I defenitly will do the opposite. I think that I am a lil off beat at times. (kind of kooky) In a relationship I do not like to be croweded in and I cannot stand possesivness that will make me run for sure. Jealousy a lil is ok anything past that I will become very uncomfortable. Most Aqua ppl w/rising or whatever have a hard time with feeling and emotions. There is where I am different I have Pisces sun and we spread feelings and love w/no problem. But I like to think I have a balance w/all the Aqua in me...

Virgo Sun/Aqu. Rising here. Something Linda Taught Me:
The essence of Virgo: To bring order out of Chaos.
The essence of Aquarius: To bring Chaos out of order.
This to two separate energies and i have them both. It can be frustrating. I don't know yet how to channel the energy. I found a creative outlet ( I make jewelry sometimes) is a benefit.

My mom is a Virgo Sun, Aquarius Rising and Aquarius moon.

My father is Aquarius Sun, Aquarius Rising, Libra moon.

They were married for 35 years and abruptly divorced last year (my father cheated).

My father has the standards no one I know has. And typically, lives up to those standards to a tee (so this was sure unexpected and odd).

I would not refer to my parents as eccentric (at all), but that may be because I am in such close position to them, I cannot see it.

My partner and I analyze the Aquarius in my parents often. We seem to settle in using the word "cold" very often in describing both of them.

Not that they are always cold, but it seems that while with them, you catch random cold drafts (if you know what I mean).

When I try to "go deep" with my father, he makes a joke, and REFUSES to go there. Generally, he will not talk about things that are personal. It is as if a brick wall goes up. He has a dry sense of humor. I have always felt that people enjoy his company.

They are both very good at meeting people and, have friends and aquaintances come and go in their lives (especially my mom). My father is excellent at small talk.

Maybe this is just a thing that a daughter typically feels about her father, but it seems that my father always has the answer to everything, and it is usually the right one!

My father is very smart and takes a long time to ponder things (he says he analyzes, and lets it go). I have only seen him cry once in my 27 years.

My mom has always been very emotional. She was a fantastic mother to my brother and I. (her mom was a cancer, so I am sure she gained a lot of great mothering skills from her)

My mom is also intellegent, but has a hard time believing it.

I have been called "unique", "weird", "eccentric", "out there" several times by several different people. I am a Cancer Sun, Aquarius Moon and Capricorn Rising half a degree from Aquarius. Blame it on Aquarius.

I'm Cancer asc Aries Moon gemini

and I've been crazy about a girl

Gemini asc aquarius moon aries

That ascendant made things difficult for me... She was very airy, very dettached from everyone (though she had lots and lots of friends).

I was happy to see some more respones to the topic i originally posted. When i was rereading the posts i saw that someone commented that the people they spend time with are like they are detached need space etc. And i realized that i do the same thing without thinking about it, for the longest time i couldn't figure out why i can't make friends or date people who are more reliable and commited to spending time with me and i would get upset with them for that. Now i realize that it is partly my fault and that i am attracting what i need unconciously.

Yep aquarius influence is a tough one, i think the key to it is embracing it and accepting it as a part of yourself.

Howdy do Suzyque,
I'm a Virgo Sun, Aqua rising, Leo Moon.
I also have Saturn in Aqua, Uranus in the 11th house, and Uranus trine Sun, not to mention some other aspects.

Eh... I dun know... People usually see me as usually a quiet person, who dresses weird and should have been born in the 60's. I think people who know me best can certainly identify with my Aquarius traits. People who don't know me can identify with them too if they get me started in a conversation, or if my wardrobe strikes them as offbeat.

I know someone who has Aqua rising, Libra Sun and Moon and Venus in Scorp........

Comes across as alluring, distant, secretive.....he is very private and very sociable at the same time......you would never know what he was thinking...and if it wasnt for the astral plane I wouldnt even know whether he liked me or not - he wears a very strong mask..........

He made a very strong impression on me !!

My ex b/f has this and my first best friend.
He is Aqua sun, she is cancer sun. Both are terrifying when jealous! Hate to see other people have a good time, without them, and I don't see it as detached, simply withdrawn and thinking..

I do tend to be very attracted and it's cool, honest, sincere, lovable aspect,

My cousin has Aquarius Rising with a Capricorn Sun and an Aries Moon.

She is Miss Chaos, and knows it! Super intuitive, and could get a Ph.D. in Street Savvy if there ever was one. She is studying psychology and would like to practice one day. Human nature fascinates her and she is into forging emotionally close bonds and relationships. She is pretty good at reading people and usually gets her way in whatever analysis she is doing. But, she gets frustrated with me because I am slow to let anybody in or easily let my emotions run on the surface. Her erratic nature makes me feel uncomfortable so I keep a lot to myself.

"im another virgo with aquarius rising.........always been called unique, different, and unlike others....i always felt i was different growing up, i always felt so much older, and disconnected from people my age, not sure if its the virgo shyness mixed in with the aquarius distance....sigh"

Shop22much~ Hmm... that sounds quite alot like me. I'm frequently called different. I also usually have an easier time communicating with people older than me.
I always felt, and looked older. When I was around 13 & 14, people started to say they thought I was in my 20s.

My son is another Virgo with Aqua rising, Sag Moon. LOL, he even looks a bit different-much lighter than the rest of us with big, sparkling eyes. He's in in his first year of school, and the teacher just can't figure him out. Almost every other day, she has something to tell me about his oddness. He tends to be socially withdrawn, yet as talktaive as my Gemini girl. He also has this habit, where he HAS to be doing something with his hands. If he's sitting at the table, he must grab a pencil. If he's watching TV, he'll start touching the wall. Yet, he isn't hyperactive. He prefers staying quietly indoors rather than playing outside with the other kids, as long as he has a toy in his hands to break apart (: Sometimes, he'll get in the mood to play outside, but only when he feels like it (:

Planet_Soul~ Yeah, that sounds alot like me as a child... Though I had a rather odd childhood... It even sounds a lot like me now. I have to be doing something 90% of the time or I can go crazy, though I AM NOT hyperactive, and never was. My 7th house stellium makes me want to be out socializing all of the time, though I'm still a somewhat quiet person unlesss I have something to say, or know the person very well.
I did find quite alot of things do do with my hands though. I started playing the guitar at 12 1/2, and I've been drawing since I was two, when I drew a very recognizable bird.
I once took an IQ test that's results said I was in the 100th percentile for visual-spatial mathmatics, which is why I can do those things. It also corresponds with my astrological chart. I would imagine he would have a similar ability.
Those placements do conflict, but they balance eachother out, and make me unique... I wouldn't have it any other way.
