I forgot which thread I was on, mentioning Angelina Jolie & Billy Bob Thorton. I'd mentioned that the baby Angelina ended up adopting had Billy Bob's same Sun, Moon & add Mercury to that. Someone asked what Maddox' birthday was. August 5, 2001 - I used Noon.

BTW - Billy Bob was born on August 4th.

That's very strange.. What were the odds?
Maybe she's into astro and knew that before adopting him - ok far-fetched but it woudn't totally surprise me..

Maybe those similar aspects are what attracted her to that child in the first place. I'm sure there were a lot of infants to choose from. She must have had the same strong emotional reaction to baby Maddox as she had to Billy Bob.

Aquarian girl, I think you're right. I don’t think she was looking to adopt when she met Maddox for the first time. I read somewhere that she picked him up while he was sleeping ( or something ), he opened his eyes and smiled at her…she was hooked. Maybe that’s how Billy Bob got her

Danny -

Oh OK - I guess they got that changed legally.

I'm glad to see others who think this is a cool occurence.

One could say she totally planned it out in terms of the birthday's. Let's say that were true. Well, her need to feel that child bonding to HER was so necessary, there was still a chance that baby wouldn't have bonded.

It could be true when she said, Maddox was the last baby she would see in the whole orphanage, and he was asleep, and as soon as she approached his crib, he opened his eyes and smiled at her instantly. Then only later did she nearly fall out of her chair learning of the similarities to Billy Bob's Chart. Knowing Angelina as well (or as little) as I do, she's totally from the gut, and I just don't picture her trying to control such an unpredictable circumstance to begin with.

And yeah, I think that this could be yet one more ((HELLO!)) example of how incredibly "smart" our hormones are. Take for example, if a woman's body on some level wishes it were pregnant, the body will impersonate pregnancy. This is true, and I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to.

Since hormones play a MAJOR role in what we call "chemistry" - it's not a huge leap to see how Angelina's desire to "have a baby" with Billy Bob was so strong, that her body knew MORE THAN SHE DID. Hence, the bond of what WOULD be a pregancy with Billy Bob. She found a little Billy Bob.

She was already realizing BEFORE her adopting him that her life with Billy Bob would change drastically, and I think somewhere inside she knew they might break up. But her bond with Billy Bob was so great, it translated into a literal recoding of her chemical, and therefore, physical nature. It translated into an instant bond with Maddox.

Interesting on many levels.

I'm not sure exactly when he relinquished his rights. I have a feeling it was AFTER the divorce, but they've done a respectful job of keeping all that as private as possible.

yes i'm surprised she is able to keep private. did you hear her dad made a huge mistake and is the one who alerted the press of the maddox adoption. he didn't mean to. poor guy-- they have severed ties since apparently.

i dont think that BBT ever had any parental rights to Maddox... i think Angelina adopted him strictly on her own.

Wow, AJ... I think that pregnancy impersonating thing may have just happened to me. Weird things happened a while back and I've been looking for an explanation. Maybe this is it?

*scuze the interruption folks...

Anyone see the new cover of US Magazine? Regarding Angelina Jolie and Brat Pitt, the cover says "IT'S TRUE!"

Motherkonfessor -

You may be right about that because she was questioning her relationship with Billy Bob BEFORE the adoption, but I'm sure somewhere deep down she envisioned a stable father for the child. Until things incarnate, it remains a fantasy/wish.

Future -

You're not interrupting ...

There's is no doubt that this phenomenon exists! There is no need to question whether it happens or not because IT DOES. Hormones are EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY potent, and it doesn't take much to alter ones behavior, man or woman.

Another example is when a transsexual male is taking hormones in order to change into a woman (congruently with surgery) - they will swear they are pregnant, or they will swear they are on their period. Hormones are weird and they have MY attention.
