On first glance, do these look like poop to you? I sat there this morning and stared at them, then read over the interpretations, then stared at them again, and they seem very disheartening, especially now that I'm trying to get out of a temp job and have an exciting new job prospect....these are the ones that are work-oriented:

-3 planets (Sun, Venus, Merc) opposing my 6th house, possibly opposing my natal Saturn, Pluto and/or Mercury.
-Saturn opposing my MC in Capricorn
-Saturn square Pluto in 6th
-Saturn square Saturn in 6th
These ones here look alright:
-Jupiter (transiting 6th house) square MC in Capricorn
-Mars transiting 10th house in Aqua
-Jupiter transiting 6th house in Libra

Also I have a longterm aspect Jupiter conjunct Mercury that just sounded really bad in interpretation.

*sigh*

I am continually at a loss on these forums as to how you all became so knowledgable on astrology. I look at that horoscope or chart or whatever and see ... absolutely nothing.

Whoa pixie that is AWESOME! Mine is right on for the aspect that occurred for me a few days ago, and Monday, which is when I'd start the new job if I'm definitely hired, said it's a great day for new contacts. *does happy dance*

Hi Johnny!! For me it just took a lot of time and patience for me to learn astrology :P Plus right now I'm making myself some flashcards of the basic things I need to know so I stop forgetting them. I still sometimes see nothing looking at horoscopes, 11 months later

Glad it helped, it was right on for me, which sucked actually.
If people wonder why I am spending so much time here, it is because I am quite down, and my hours are crap this week, and next.
It doesn't feel nice to not be recognized where it counts. I have soken to my boss about it,, but the schedule had already been made up. Grrrrr.

Johnny, just look around and check out some sites. A really great learning one would be.. http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/
This one is cool, i found it googling today. http://www.therealastrology.com/HTML/FAQS/AspectPatterns.html

You don't realize quite how much you've learned until you can answer questions with barely a source of help.
I am still learning though. I hope I never stop.

Lol, VTT. Time and patience. Just the two things I have the least of!

Ooh, links! I'm looking at the Bob Marks' astrology site now. Thanks, PixelPixie

-3 planets (Sun, Venus, Merc) opposing my 6th house, possibly opposing my natal Saturn,
# Even if negative, which is doubtful, they transit quite rapidly so could not affect anything for very long.

-Pluto and/or Mercury.
#This is a mandate for self-examination. Are you doing all that you can do about the situation. If you are not, fix it. If you are, let it go........mostly a caution against talking too much or over-thinking the situation.

-Saturn opposing my MC in Capricorn
#This could easily bring a permanent career change--mainly a caution to consider your reputation.

-Saturn square Pluto in 6th
#This suggests that you have a conflict about whether you have the right to do the things that you can do. Apply that as above. If what you can do is honorable and legal, you have the right to do it.

-Saturn square Saturn in 6th
#Especially if it is the waning square, this one often marks a time when you really begin to succeed.

These ones here look alright:
-Jupiter (transiting 6th house) square MC in Capricorn
#There is really no such thing as a negative aspect to Jupiter. The worst it can do is "too much."

-Mars transiting 10th house in Aqua
#Very good, especially for technology-related careers

-Jupiter transiting 6th house in Libra
#Consider this "good luck" or an angel in the area of work and health.

-Also I have a longterm aspect Jupiter conjunct Mercury that just sounded really bad in interpretation.
#I would consider this an excellent transit. It should help you figure out the answers to many questions--espcially the big questions like, "Who am I? Why am I here?"

What you have said is why I write astrology books. It is time to give up the old fatalistic interpretations and view aspects in the light of today's knowledge, today's world.

virgotaurustaurus -

It may be that those of us who are prone to negativity learn to focus on the positive, or else you get tripped up. At least, this is how I personally deal with "hard" Transits. I will not LOOK FOR hard Transits ahead of time. Couldn't care less. I tend to focus only on the positive, which means I look mostly at Conjunctions, Sextiles & Trines - although these can be inherently challenging as well.

But I don't stress about an upcoming Transiting Mercury Retrograde and things like that. That's gonna trip you up. If things are going really really weird for me, if I'm having a really hard time, or a funk I cannot fathom my way out of, THEN I become curious and look for what may be the cause. This in turn provides me answers in order to deal with my specific situation better. But unless I am IN the negativity to begin with, the answers won't come to me, even if they are in black & white. Do you see what I mean?

Although I do have positive influences in my Chart, and many strong points, I do have sufficient influences which can become very negative if I'm not careful - like Moon in Cancer, my Scorpio influences, my Jupiter in Capricorn, my Moon Opposing my Saturn, and my Chiron in Pisces.

Johnny -

What you said is very intriguing to me, as it seems you are eager to learn more. May I ask you, how do you see astrology overall? Do you see it as an artform in any way? How would you describe what astrology is to someone who knows less about it than you?

Rev. Alice -

Great feedback. Thank you.
