The astrological influence of this month's New Moon in Aries is intensified due to the coinciding Solar Eclipse at 4:32 pm EST (New York time) on April 8th. Solar Eclipses occur on average only twice a year.

According to master astrologer, Jeff Jawer, "a Solar Eclipse in Aries suggests that when we start pushing hard in a new direction (Sun in Aries) we may go too far too fast. The eclipse implies that the personal will (the Sun) encounters emotions, old patterns and unconscious forces (the Moon) that require special consideration." Jeff's advice? Slow down and take some time to reflect on who you are and where you're headed, so that you can avoid catastrophes and make the most of this special event.

In astrological terms, Aries energy is often expressed simply as the force of "I Am." What better time than this New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries to learn more about your own ego structure and the solar power behind your personality?

To help you observe this eclipse of the Sun, we're offering our members – for FREE – the chapter entitled The Sun: Your Ego Structure, part of our popular in-depth birth report, the Inner Reflections Report. And, if you upgrade your report to the full report after reading your free sample, you'll get $5 off, plus a bonus of 60 Karma Coins (worth $6)! But don't delay... this is a limited time offer. And the Karma Coin bonus is only available to our email list subscribers and only when you click through and upgrade from this email.

Celebrate the start of a new lunar cycle by celebrating yourself!

PS: The New Moon and Solar Eclipse occur at 19 degrees of Aries this week. When you get your birth report, review it to see if significant planets or your Ascendant have any aspects that correspond to this (within, say, 5 degrees either way). Because, as Jeff Jawer advises, "you can analyze the impact of this event on your life based on aspects to the eclipse and where it falls in your natal chart. The closer it comes to a significant planet or point in a birth chart, the more meaningful it is to a person."

New Moon in Aries
Friday, April 8, 1:33 pm PDT

This New Moon is a Solar Eclipse, which tends to place the lunar needs to feel, remember and protect above the solar drives of will and ego. Look back before pushing forward now, and follow your own instincts, rather than someone else's plan. Expansive Jupiter and contracting Saturn aspecting the New Moon produce a push-pull effect, building the foundation for major changes that only arrive after a long period of gestation. Powerful Pluto's harmonious trine to the lunation helps focus intention and eliminates habits that distract us from pursuing our deepest desires.

Mercury Direct
Tuesday, April 12

Ideas and information bottled up for the past three weeks are finally uncorked. Data starts to flow more freely, calls and messages are returned, and life gets back on track. What you've been thinking can finally be said out loud. Just don't expect others to hold back, verbal sparks are likely to fly.

Mars conjunct Neptune
Wednesday, April 13, 6:12 am PDT

The planet of pushing forward meets the planet of letting go, so skidding sideways is a real possibility now. Action is tempered by faith and compassion, making this a great time for inspired work. But, care must be taken not to bruise ourselves and others with impulsiveness as the sharp knife of Mars meets Neptune's thin skin.

Venus in Taurus
Friday, April 15, 1:37 pm PDT

Venus returning to her earthy home sign saturates the senses with tastes, smells and touches that caress the body and feed the soul. Take the time to enjoy nature's gifts, soaking in the sweetness of sky, Sun and flowers. Relationships are strengthened by returning to the basics of self-acceptance. Trusting the goodness within and without puts partnership on a solid foundation. Being real in the present is a greater gift than promises for a tomorrow that may never come.

Sun in Taurus
Tuesday, April 19, 4:38 pm PDT

The comfort sign Taurus is a time to value what is, rather than hunger for what isn't. Peace is the natural state now, if we're able to let go of expectations for the future or blame for the past. Passivity or stubbornness, though, are disguised forms of fear, a kind of habitual paralysis and unhealthy resistance to change. The fullest acceptance of oneself brings flexibility and openness, as well as the capacity to learn and grow.

Full Moon in Scorpio
Sunday, April 24, 3:08 am PDT

This Full Moon is a Lunar Eclipse, helping us let go of outmoded desires and self-doubt. Eclipsing the Scorpio Moon wipes the slate clean, erasing old sins and enabling us reclaim our lost innocence. Taurus simplicity reigns, so we can let go of emotional and financial calculations that are bound to leave someone wanting. There's more than enough to go around when we take our eyes off the scoreboard and allow ourselves to just enjoy playing the game.

Mars in Pisces
Saturday, April 30, 7:58 pm PDT

Mars entering Neptune's mushy home sign picks up the theme of the earlier conjunction between these two planets. We are all warriors for spirit now, here to learn that the greatest battle is to maintain compassion for oneself and others. Following a linear path is difficult, but the curvy road smoothes out ambition and helps us wind our way gently through life, rather than marching rigidly and without feeling.

Jupiter quincunx Uranus
Saturday, May 7

This off-kilter aspect derails plans and challenges philosophical certainty. Jupiter's quest for truth is shaken by experiences outside any canon law. Yet those who truly desire to learn require no bible to guide them. Experience teaches in ways beyond the bounds of any book, outside the logic of any language. Brilliant insights stream through open minds, awaking them with fresh perspectives to loosen and lighten any system of belief.

This is a double eclipse month, making fissures in the surface of reality. The Solar Eclipse in Aries show us that change is not simply a force moving forward, but is made possible by breaking with the past. We can feel like we're standing on shaky ground, but solidity is an illusion anyway. There is nothing to hold onto, but this needn't be a cause of anxiety. It is, rather, an awareness that sets us free, making it possible to fully enjoy the gifts of this planet without fear of loss. We're early in the astrological year, a time when naivete can be an asset and the need to be right can be a burden. It is discovery, rather than control, that is the greatest gift of the season.

Have a great month!
