Aries: Frequently in detention at school, although bright, very confrontational, good at whatever takes their fancy (although won't work at less popular subjects), always exercising something, whether it be bodies or brain cells. Benefits from coordination exercises to break up lessons. Usually plays musical instrument of some description (electric guitar, drums). Benefits from extra-curricular activities.

Taurus: This sounds a cliche but they often do well through sheer hard work - usually taller build so good at PE etc, good bone structure, girls make god models. Can get a mite depressed occasionally, but mostly no trouble at all.

Gemini: One of the brighter signs, another musical sign, good at singing, languages, anything they turn their hands to, really, and getting on with others in general. Popular, well-liked, even if not, will draw attention to themselves in some way. Like to be thought of as "cool".

Cancer: Again, this is such a cliche, but so many of my Cancer schoolfellows went into the medical profession - girls enjoy dolls and nurses' uniforms (god, this is corny). Good at home economics lessons, or English or History are other favourites. Get very upset on others' behalf, esp. if see s/o else being beaten up.

Leo: Love acting, drama, singing, dance, all the arts really. Good at languages. Popular, generous, brainy and hardworking, with GSOH, can't stand rudeness from peers. Second most likely to get into a fight (after Aries).

Virgo: Clever children, again, will tend to go into medical profession. Slightly difficult, with quicker tempers than you might expect (they usually calm down once adulthood is reached). Quick to assess situations in a surprisingly "adult" way.

Libra: Hardworking, achieving, don't appear to rock the boat too much as children. Have an outer veneer that perhaps disguises their true thoughts (btw, we did not have many Libras in my class at school - over to you)

Scorpio: These are the kids you'll find on the beach collecting stuff and looking at it under the microscope - or writing and acting in plays with an astonishing level of maturity. Mad, wacky and rebellious but never get into trouble as incredibly calm.

Sagittarius: Will have some interest in sport or physical movement - practically guaranteed. Popular bright sparks with a slight tendency to boast. Whether you like them or hate them - they're all personality.

Capricorn: Organises everything - even adults, academic ability may range from the "genius" level to totally unremarkable. Considerable amount of sang-froid. Behaviour usually impeccable. Frank, even by children's standards.

Aquarius: Love animals, caring for and breeding, and will usually be seen caring for one or another exotic pet. Sophisticated, quirky interests, equal to Scorpio in that respect. Tease other kids mercilessly.

Pisces: Well-behaved, rarely in trouble (avoid if possible as non-confrontational), usually academically good, with a distinct tendency towards maths (algebra), history and sciences. Not so much arts subjects, oddly enough.

Wow Calliope, that hit the nail on the head.
I'm a Virgo, and I was horribly quick tempered as a child, acctually I was horrible all over. I was way too adult. But after about the age of 11 I grew out of it.
After that I learned how to have fun and let things slide. Bassically I was no longer an abnoctious, stuck-up brat. Everyone around me at that age told me that I had changed into a TOTALLY different person, and come out of my shell.

Wow, that's very accurate. I'm a Piscean, and I am very interested in history and math, but I absolutely hate science. Chemistry is KILLING me. But everything else is true- I've always been very well-behaved in school and academically all right. My best subjects are languages though, probably due to my Gemini asc.

Just to show a different side.

Aries:

I never spent a day in detention. I was the teacher's PET. I was far from confrontational... if anything I was painfully shy and quiet. Yes, I was bright and good at everything that took my fancy except sports. I sucked at any and all sports and hated gym class.

I find that fire signs with water moons or a lot of water placements are way different..

I have an "abundance" of fire and earth.. not as much water, but I'm still not the typical aries.. though I have to say water makes fire even MORE atypical..

aries-chick, I was thinking that.I have more water in my chart than anything. I didn't mean to sound b!tchy like that, I'm just PMSing and reading this post threw me back into a really traumatic point in my life.

Eeew, I'm so b1tchy lately, the last thing I want is for people here to think I'm a b1tch

lol na you're not that b1tchy..just a lil jk - things sound a lot different online than they'd be said in real life a lot of times. I've had that prob.

I thought the drama part was true about Leos though. A lot of leos do acting and drama in school..

Teaching, Computer Animation (no idea why), Writting and Drama - I've noticed in leos - Teaching's the main one though

lol almost forgot Psychology too when they have a water moon..

maybe that's it.. I'm Aries with a water (Aquarian) moon. I guess I fit the Aquarian description better although I didn't tease people. But oh yeah I was an animal freak.

But I have Leo rising and that doesn't fit me at all either

I think you're on to something AR, I hated PE time with a passion and I'm a Sag. I just didn't like participating at all for school sports. I have a Pisces moon, and the discription for Pisces fits me almost perfectly. I was shy and a good student, most of the teachers always liked me. I do love history, but I'm horrible at Math.

My Sun Sign of Libra does NOT describe me as a kid.

Does anyone else feel their Sun Sign does not fit their description?

I'm asking because maybe as a kid, other influences in our Charts become more prominent. I thought maybe my Moon in Cancer would match the Cancer description. Does not either.

Hmmm ... that blew THAT theory out of the water ...

So - OK - how about my Asc in Taurus
?

Nope.

How about the Focal Point of my Chart, Scorpio?

Nope.

Well, then I just got frustrated, went down the line to see which was most accurate, working my theory backwards instead.

Well, the most accurate is Gemini for me. I have NOTHING in Gemini, except for my Vesta.

Can anyone look at their Vesta and see if closely describes them as a kid according to the above interpretations? I'd love to see that, or even start a new thread.

However, my 1st House is mostly occupied by Gemini since my Asc in Taurus is at 29.48 degrees. So the Asc may be more influential in childhood, I know we've discussed how the Asc becomes less powerful the older you get ... hmmmm ...

Another thing I noticed, which ties back to the Moon - my Moon is in the 3rd House, Gemini's natural home. So there's that "Moon theory" with a twist...

Hope to get feedback on my Vesta query. Thanks!

Cool AJ I can relate to that. I have a 29 gemini asc and thought it was cancer for a while but no way it is - it's funny how I thought I knew a lot about this a couple of yrs ago but I learnt a whole lot more lately.

When I was lil I was the typical Aries with a Gem asc, my moon wasn't even in the picture at all. If anyone in my fam would've been into astro and found out I have a Cap moon they woulda been extremly surprised. I was loud, talkative, crazy, very active, TOO friendly (even with strangers).. I think I woulda been a nightmare to have as a kid at least 30% of the time (I mean there were still good points like I did well in school and I wasnt always like this) but usually I was very on the go, active, nearly never slept, neighbours were complaining lol it was drama after drama.. At school I was in every play, every celebration.. I always sang or did poetry or something .. I just wanted to be involved and be on stage.

I've changed a lot since then. My asc has a cancer touch to it nowadays deffinetly.. IT IS most of my first house so I guess that makes sense. The main thing that's changed is that as a kid I was very self centered and did not care at all about anyone else whereas now I care so much about the smallest things. I wanna listen and hear ppl out and try to help them. I'm not overbearing or arogant (when I was lil I was pretty arogant). Now, I'd be the first to give someone anything they needed if I had it, even if it's someone I don't know - as a child I'd kick and scream if another kid even touched a toy of mine ..

Also the gemini asc, I equate that to looks - I was thin, long, no shape at all, very long fingers - when little, now I'm shapely - I'm thin but shapely which I'd see as a cancer thing but the height length, fingers all seem very geminian still it's a strange mix

My vesta is in Pisces on my MC, I'd say I'm more piscean now, not when I was little but it would be a good idea to start a new thread on that I reckon..

i feeel the cancers are one of guys to make groups , though not the bosss figure but a active part of it .
same with aquarians , last one to get into fight even if its thier friend being beaten up unless they have a group behind them .
sags - most of them with gal friends and almost always in the school games team .
libras - sort of coordinator kind of ,though not taken very very seriously .
