I seem to have a communication problem when around some people, how can I over come it? It's just that when I'm around alot of the people I know, my mind just goes kinda blank.
I can snap your head off in a debate with some folks(all in good sportsmanship, of course) and make some really good points.
But it's like I just forget everything I ever knew with some.
Why is this, and how can I get over it?

I say just keep doing it and it will become more comfortable. I have always been a little self Conscience. I use to be much more timid. Work on it with your good friends and READ!!!! That will give you more to talk about! I feel you, girl!!  IP: Logged |

I know what you mean. Just try to stay positive, focussed and calm. Try to concentrate on what you are speaking instead of thinking of people around you and their reaction.Yes it is a wonderful advice, READ! That will give you firm footing on the subject. Above all TAKE IT EASY  IP: Logged |

Hey guys, thanks for replying.
Acctualy, oddly enough, I do read a lot. I'm in the middle of "the Odyssey" right now, and no it's not a school assignment. I'm trying to read more though. I have a pretty good memory for what I read.
AAAhhhh well, I guess It's just that some people make me feel automatically comfortable. I feel that I can communicate really well with Geminis, they just make me feel comfy, and thay are fun to be around. Well Geminis can communicate well with everybody, so I guess that's not saying much. I know another Virgo who I can really talk to, even though most Virgos I know sorta creep me out.....
I can communicate pretty well with my Pisces mother, in a light discussion that is, and I think I'm pretty good with Aquarians.
I know a Libra that I wish I could talk to better.

Battle -You seem to feel more comfortable with the Mutable Signs, perhaps because they hold the least grudges? I don't know about that, you tell me. But, I do understand what you are saying. To me, it's sound like you are more uncomfortable with your lack of consistency. Is there something in your Chart which would "command" you to expect more consistency from yourself? It's possible, what kind of influence would cause that? I'm kind of lost on what to look for. You are right, I do feel more comfortable with the mutable signs. Maybe because we're on the same wave length.
I probably am too hard on myself, but I've always felt that communication and intellect were VERY important. I think I just feel kind of useless by brain is learning, or analyzing on something and I can communicate what I think about it.
Just a typical Virgo thing I guess. That is pretty much the only area of my life where I feel that I have to perfect myself.IP: Logged |

Yup - it sounds perfectly typical. When I was young, I was not a detail person, or someone who put a lot of time into intellectual pursuits or knowledge (except my own philosophy towards life & metaphysics to an extent) ...Over time, the stupidity surrounding me began to bother me more and more, probably because I was NOTICING it more and more. There are fleeting moments when I believe I know how to do just about anything "as it SHOULD be done". But I'd be alone in my stance, regardless. Lately, for me, it's been more about NOT placing so much value on what I consider intellectually superior ideas, and more about the soulfulness life has to offer. It's an everyday struggle, but I feel it offers more of a universal outlook which allows me to experience a wider spectrum. Don't know if you remember, but I do have a bit of what would be an emphasis on "intellectual" pursuits in my Chart. But they didn't manifest until my late teens. Now it's like I'm trying to either reach back OR reach BEYOND, into a realm we all in general tend to forget. I've a Libra Sun

The way I feel, that I can't have an accurate perception of the big picture and the real truths, unless I start with the small stuff. I want to be able to make educated decisions about what I believe.
And so I read. I read about different religions, philosiphy, metaphysics, physics...whatver.
I need communication, and discussions, so that I can learn from them, and test my beliefs, you know? Not to say that sometimes I don't just have a debate for the fun of it.

Well, sort of looking at it quickly - the first word which pops in my head is "pride". And BIG time...You are really not afraid to communicate, and that's where you find yourself needing to hold back. But you may be too focused on what others think, or of what's going on around you rather than what's going on inside you. I'm including what I see in your House Cusps. Look ... Your 3rd House of Communication is Ruled by Mars ( in Aries ). Your 4th House of home & hearth is in Taurus, so you're REALLY fixated and stubborn even about those issues. Your 5th House of "creative fun" is in Gemini - you're dying to communicate. Your 6th House of "details & service" is in Cancer - so you take great lengths to sort of hover over something for a long time to get it right. Your 10th House of "career & reputation" is in Scorpio, which is in the Opposite Sign AND Opposite Houses. Your 11th House of "friendships" is in gregarious Sagittarius. And your 12th House of "sensitivity & subconscious" is in serious Capricorn, so when it comes to your subconcious, you are willing to take the time to work at breaking the whole thing down so you understand. It doesn't matter if I look at only the Ruler's of these Cusps, I still see the same. I used to have the same problem as you, and there are times I still do, depending on the person -- I wonder if we ever grow out of it? But I have learned to listen closely to others and play off things they say. Being interested in them and asking questions is a great way to get into an involved conversation. (Almost) everyone likes to talk about themselves! And that feeds into other topics. Having been places in the world and being well-read and up on current events helps too.I like what AJ said: quote:

I still get flashes of selfconsciousness occasaionally, when I'm talking to someone I'm attracted to -- and I find myself wondering, oh-oh, do I have spinach between my teeth from that salad at lunch?
