I am not an astrologer. I watch how people of different signs act. I have a question....When a chart has ALOT of trines, what does that mean? Thank You!IP: Logged |

Hey, fayte. Here's just a little information about trines. The trine indicates aspects that are 120 degrees apart, and commonly connects planets in signs of the same element. It is a fundamentally free-flowing, harmonious aspect. Planets in trine thus reveal aptitudes that find their expression through little conscious effort- the energies are so well integrated that the individual is instinctively attuned to them. The trine shows our innate talents, what we enjoy, and what gives us pleasure; we do not need to question those things described by these compatible energies. And by doing things that we delight in, we feel revitalized and good about ourselves. However, we actually need some challenges in order not to become complacent; and the ease with which these energies flow can result in a lack of dynamism, laziness, and a reluctance to bring issues out into the open. So a chart with many trines (obviously dependent upon what houses/planets/signs they are in to determine where the effect will be) could indicate a stagnant personality, or an individual who is not reaching their full potential and rather ''coasts'' through this incarnation. Ghani--Thank You If you don't mind I'll get back to the question again when I check on what houses they are in. I had charts done years ago by two different people. They looked at me funny and said I have a negative Karmic debt. They said that my chart was very unusual. They both did it again and said the results were strange, not bad at all, very good in fact but very odd. They were surprised. That left me feeling a little confused and concerned as to what they saw. Oddly enough this happened to my husband also, with same type of reaction and interpretation for him.IP: Logged |

I read somewhere in a book by a respectable (haha) astrologer that people with too many trines are arseholes- apparently they take people for granted, are users, and generally not too nice after the initial meeting. But personally, I've never met one. IP: Logged |

Well either your information from that book is wrong or the charts those people did on us were. Neither one of us is an arse____,or those other awful things!!! Actually they all said our charts were so unusual, and amazed/surprised them. The one thing they also said is that our charts showed extreme levels of compassion and other good things, and that was very unusual. If there is so much conflict in interpreting charts, then what does one believe?IP: Logged |

Haha, oh my god! I'm so sorry! There I go- putting my foot in it again!I had no idea either of you were... I'm not too observant! It was a book by a couple- husband and wife... I think she was a Cancer... it's very big- usually very reliable... although I must admit, I was kind of shocked when I read that! It actually said something like they didn't 'find them to be very nice people'... I'll look up what book it is or get a quote... but I don't have it with me now.... Can I see your chart? It would be interesting. IP: Logged |

Are there any Grand Trines? Like for instance....Sun trine Moon and trine another planet and Moon trine that 3rd planet. The orb is about 6 - 8 degrees.

Nah, actually I thought you took that pretty well! A few people on this site are excessively uptight- and you're not one of them! Plus, I would never slap you with a wet noodle! (Has that ever been done?) I would use a wet fish! Monty Python style! IP: Logged |
