calliope started a thread on astro kids. Started wondering a couple of things. Here I am cutting & pasting calliope's list of astro kids.

1. Look at your Vesta & see if it fits your description as a kid BETTER than your Sun Sign.

2. Look at the House your Moon is in to see the same thing. Example, if your Moon is in the 9th House, would the description of Sagittarius astro kids fit you BETTER than your Sun Sign?

3. If your Ascendant is in a late degrees, like 28 or 29th degrees, does the Sign to follow your Asc fit you BETTER than your Sun Sign?

Thanks.

"Aries: Frequently in detention at school, although bright, very confrontational, good at whatever takes their fancy (although won't work at less popular subjects), always exercising something, whether it be bodies or brain cells. Benefits from coordination exercises to break up lessons. Usually plays musical instrument of some description (electric guitar, drums). Benefits from extra-curricular activities.
Taurus: This sounds a cliche but they often do well through sheer hard work - usually taller build so good at PE etc, good bone structure, girls make god models. Can get a mite depressed occasionally, but mostly no trouble at all.

Gemini: One of the brighter signs, another musical sign, good at singing, languages, anything they turn their hands to, really, and getting on with others in general. Popular, well-liked, even if not, will draw attention to themselves in some way. Like to be thought of as "cool".

Cancer: Again, this is such a cliche, but so many of my Cancer schoolfellows went into the medical profession - girls enjoy dolls and nurses' uniforms (god, this is corny). Good at home economics lessons, or English or History are other favourites. Get very upset on others' behalf, esp. if see s/o else being beaten up.

Leo: Love acting, drama, singing, dance, all the arts really. Good at languages. Popular, generous, brainy and hardworking, with GSOH, can't stand rudeness from peers. Second most likely to get into a fight (after Aries).

Virgo: Clever children, again, will tend to go into medical profession. Slightly difficult, with quicker tempers than you might expect (they usually calm down once adulthood is reached). Quick to assess situations in a surprisingly "adult" way.

Libra: Hardworking, achieving, don't appear to rock the boat too much as children. Have an outer veneer that perhaps disguises their true thoughts (btw, we did not have many Libras in my class at school - over to you)

Scorpio: These are the kids you'll find on the beach collecting stuff and looking at it under the microscope - or writing and acting in plays with an astonishing level of maturity. Mad, wacky and rebellious but never get into trouble as incredibly calm.

Sagittarius: Will have some interest in sport or physical movement - practically guaranteed. Popular bright sparks with a slight tendency to boast. Whether you like them or hate them - they're all personality.

Capricorn: Organises everything - even adults, academic ability may range from the "genius" level to totally unremarkable. Considerable amount of sang-froid. Behaviour usually impeccable. Frank, even by children's standards.

Aquarius: Love animals, caring for and breeding, and will usually be seen caring for one or another exotic pet. Sophisticated, quirky interests, equal to Scorpio in that respect. Tease other kids mercilessly.

Pisces: Well-behaved, rarely in trouble (avoid if possible as non-confrontational), usually academically good, with a distinct tendency towards maths (algebra), history and sciences. Not so much arts subjects, oddly enough."

I don't really know what a Vesta is. Can anyone explain? I can't remember what house my moon is in and my ascendant is in the middle degrees.

But if it will help me to be catergorised, then can anyone tell me what I sound like?
I have Virgo Sun, Aries Moon, Capricorn Ascendant.
Actually, I think I'm most like an Aries kid... I'm always forgetting or not bothering to do homeworks I don't like, I'm not stupid, but kind of arguementative, I play piano and electric guitar but I'm good at stuff I like... like Latin, although that's not very useful.

But my moon's not in my 1st house... I think its in 7th or something...

I'm confused.

No, that doesn't really help. But I'm surprised you do not know those placements for your Chart. Have you been to astro.com? Do you know how to go in and get that info?

All of those are in water for me.. moon in the 8th scorpio, ascendant - next one over - cancer and vesta -pisces. The parts that fitted me as a kid are the inqusitiveness of Scorpio looking things under the microscope, also the acting part. With Pisces being accademically good. But I still think overall I'm more watery now than when I was little, I was more firey then.

Mutable Night Force, on astro.com under Free Horoscopes, there's an "extended chart selection", you can get vesta, ceres, pallas etc added to your chart, I think they're asteroids. You'll find interpretations for them at bobmarksastrologer.com .. Your moon can't be in the 7th with a Cap ascendant, because your 7th is Cancer (opposite of 1st Capricorn).. and your moon is Aries so it'd come before the 7th.

My Vesta is in Cancer.
Which is similar to Scorpio anyway.
I collected stuff and really looked at stuff, but I also felt people's pain to the extent that I had to leave a primary school, to go to a new one near me, as my friend's problems became my problems to such a degree that I cried for them all the time, and appealed to my mother for help.. she was worried about me.
Empathy.
I'd forgotten about that.
My moon is in the sixth house.. which makes total sense... doing for others, in some sense.... "Quick to assess situations in a surprisingly "adult" way"
I don't know what this means though....

Besides.. the 'astro kids' Is two sentances.. doesn't really cover the complexities or possibilities....

My Vesta is in Taurus in 3rd which I don't think describes me as a kid at all.

My Moon is in Gemini in 4th house conjunct Saturn (1 degree orb) and I was a painfully shy child, very clingy, very unsure of myself, wouldn't say boo to a mouse! Very un-Gemini. I hardly spoke a word. Got bullied loads. Hated school

aries-chick -

But, at times the Cusps have two Planets in the same Sign. Would this phenomenon always exclude the Asc/Desc?

You’re right AJ, the Virgo one describes me much better. Although the Pisces one was kinda close, except I was good at Art and didn’t really like History.

The Vesta didn’t work though. The Aries one did not describe my childhood lol I was bad but not that bad.
