Hi Magic Dragon Man ~Did you do any reading at the 12th House Planets thread today, O psychic sponge?!? ( http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002288.html ) My description fit to a T: Pluto:
undercover detective, healer's sanctuary,
hibernating dragon.
"hey if i can make you a customized icon .. just shout .. i like messing arround in photoshop 'n such ..." -- A sweet and generous offer, Si. What do you think you could come up with for horses? I met one of my totem spirits in a dream one night long ago, a piebald....unicorns also appeal to me....it's always disappointed me that Libra is the only sign that's represented by a Thing rather than Human or Animal....You get to be Mr. Bull-Crab-Twins, I get to be Ms. Scaly-Lion-Fish Or, what does your intuition say would fit me?
"talking of those truckin' years and minnesota ( i realy loved that place ) .. makes me think of a lass who used to work at a truckwash..." -- and listening to Byrds Untitled "Truck Stop Girl" on the way to work this morning made me think of what you wrote!
Hey blues-man, I got this cd awhile ago, do you have it? http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/davewalker
So you play slide, you devil, got any mp3's (or whatever) of that on your site? My favorite slide guitar man was Lowell George, but I have a lot of other faves too. So you play pedal steel? I've been a fan of David Lindley (played with Jackson Browne for a long time), and also Neil Young's bud whose name escapes me....
as for the ex, "i got halfway putting your ex's chart in my app .. but what a tedious way to input info! .. planet by planet .. be nice if there was just a bit more info in folks profiles." -- what a magnanimous fella you are, I'm grateful that you would spend the time to do this. Academically it would be interesting to find out our synastry since I've never done it, and I don't really understand composite charts, would appreciate any explanations you feel like sending along. If you like, I'll send our birth data -- it's water way under the bridge, I left him in '97 (see Message to AZ in Soul Unions if you wanna read the story). But it could be a learning experience, and maybe an epiphany or an Ah-Hah moment! What about this site you wrote about (Big Road Blues - internal emails)? Where is Oxychick's coffee and tea session, do you mean the Dishonesty thread? I'd be intrigued to read your Encounter With A Psycho story sometime, where astrology played a part in leading to someone's downfall....
and "plus something in my own character that i want to figure via the astrology and the more knowlegable folk in Lindaland" -- how can we help?
Have you read Liz Greene and Howard Sasportas 4-volume set of Seminars in Astrology? I got it a few weeks ago, but it's going to take some serious time investment, and I miss my buds at this board when I'm away soaking up education!
"well youv'e prompted to do something i thought i'd never do..." -- ye-up, that would be me, psychically pushing people to greater heights of wisdom or folly! When I went to your pix-link at HD and opened it up, I got a jolt right in the abdomen when I saw the pic of you with the Strat (ps: love the shaggy look!). A voice in my head said "I know you!" Since it hasn't been in this lifetime, I suspect it was in years gone by. Since I'm a believer in reincarnation, it makes sense to me that if you know, say, 200 people in a lifetime, and you've lived 30 lifetimes, there are 6000 people you've known that you could possibly bump into in the current incarnation, should they also be along on this particular ride. One of these days I'll get that past life regression done -- maybe when Sylvia Browne's people come to town this summer. Ever read any of her books? And is that cute little blond fella your son? Note: the leaf in the background was not lost on me!!
You wrote "i've always been perplexed by the sun moon relationship in astrology .. no matter what i read up on it" -- wanna read another one? I'd be curious to know how you think it fits, then I'll tell you who wrote it (or maybe you can guess!).....
"Sun in Taurus/Moon in Gemini
Personal discontent will run away with you and make a muddle of your life if you don't learn to control your critical attitude toward other people. You think yourself loyal, devoted, persistent, and capable, but as a matter of fact, you have a tendency to fly, emotionally, from one thing to another and especially from one person (sweetheart, friend) to another. You start out a personal relationship all fire and love and devotion, and before you know it you're finding something the matter with the loved one. Like as not you think that he (or she) has become unworthy of the great love you have to offer, or you find some flaw in his (her) character, manner of speech, or brand of hair tonic (or lipstick). You have an aggressive and adventurous spirit, and in both a figurative and geographic sense are likely to wander a good deal during your years on earth. Your emotional and business stability will develop directly in proportion to your intellectual training. Get as much schooling as you can, and if you can't get formal schooling, satisfy that curious mentality of yours with facts and figures rather than with mere idle talk and speculation. Study will steady you down. You'll find yourself more contented, less restless, more constant in love, and more successful in business in proportion as you occupy your mind with some set course of study. Study by correspondence -- learn how to play the piano or draw the plans for a bridge, in seventeen easy lessons -- and you'll be surprised how everything straightens out as you give your mind something tangible and concrete to bite on. At the same time that you do this stay in one spot and don't allow yourself to gossip or listen to idle talk. People are always coming to you with wild yarns about your friends, and you're impressionable and likely to be swayed, though at heart you are loyal. But what you are at heart doesn't make much difference if you don't put it into practice. Study, read, and if you don't create, get into some occupation that keeps your mind busy...." -- from what I've read of your posts here, I think you are already evolved past this synthesis/interpretation (and from the captions of your pix, you are the most peripatetic Taurean I've seen - probably because of the Gem Moon)....the above was written in 1975 by one of the big guys in the Llewellyn stable (located in St Paul, MN!) -- guess?
Gotta go check out my buddy sue g's hubby's chart -- you'll like her, she's a Scorp in Ireland -- we've been doing a lot of writing in the Soul Unions forum....back later! If you wanna write off-forum, I put my email at my profile.
sssssss....(the sound of Water Snake to Water Snake, or Leo Asc to Cancer Asc!)
