I am june 19th but I feel more cancerian. Could be due to my cancer rising and true node in cancer. I believe people could act like both sometimes. Maybe because its close to the next sign? I don't know.I know 4 people who are gemini/cancers also.
2 act like geminis and 2 act more like cancers.

CUSPS ARE ON! I believe the sun 'shines', shall we say, into both signs for a few days during the changeover. It can't just switch signs in a matter of minutes, doesn't make any sense to me. I also have definitely experienced people on the cusp as having qualities of both. I myself am July 21, and feel as much as Cancer as a Leo. IP: Logged |

Hey Thosa, I do have Mercury in Leo. Though it can't really be the only thing that influences the split. There are people with planets in the sign behind them, who feel more like the sign ahead - eg my friend, Sun Gemini (june 21, hence Gem/Can Cusp), Moon Gemini, Mercury in Taurus. I still think that there is no such thing as a cusp.You areeither one sign or the other,or maybe you have a lot of planets in another sign. When you are gemini but have a lot of cancer planets you'll behave like a typical cancerian,may even touch ground with cancerians,but when push comes to shove,you are inclined to deal with things more intellectualy than they do or rather you encourage yourself to.You clearly know the birth times and dates of your friends,why dont you check out this site: www.librarising.com to getyour true sun sign! I am allso a late Sag ie 21st of December and for a long time I thoght I was Capricorn,but I checked out the site and found that the sun during that year I was born only entered Capricorn two days later!Good Luck! Most actual astrologers that I've read have said that a person's either one or the other - that any tendency towards the sign that your Sun isn't in can be attributed to other chart factors.That being said, if you believe in cusps my husband's a Cappie/Aqua cusper, and he really does act like it sometimes (his actual Sun's @ 1d Aqua).
That may be able to be traced back to his Cappie Merc and SN in Cap in the 2nd House, though. I guess it's a debate for the ages. *shrugs* Tranquil Poet - I'm glad to see you back.

Hmm...now that I think about it, a lot of my friends are cusps...19th march, 20th october, 20th february, 17th february, 23rd july, 22nd august + many more...:S:S...cusps are attracted to other cusps I guess...well, that is if there IS such a thing as a cusp.IP: Logged |

Thosa - my friend has NOTHING in Cancer, no major planet or aspect. Very Cancerian person, tho. Hence I do believe in cusps. I still maintain that the sun can't 'just switch' signs in a matter of minutes. And it is known astrologically that characteristics of signs fade as they approach the third quadrant of their sign, so when you think about it, it does make sense. Cancer is in its pure and full power in the first week or two of Cancer, and fades more as it approaches Leo, so it would make sense that in the few days of transition towards Leo, the person is a mix of both, and Leo towards Virgo, etc. Hence, I do believe there is merit to cusps. I ask myself, too, why are houses interpreted in the 'next house' when they approach the end of one house. Just a thought to ponder.  IP: Logged |

Well when is your date of birth? I tend to see cusp qualities run within approximately 4 days each way of the changeover. So for example, if in your year of birth, the sun entered Leo on the 22 July, then you'd exhibit cusp qualities if born on 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, etc. IP: Logged |

Hey All... I too, am a cusp-er... so, is my daughter, in fact she's just one before being opposite the cusp I'm on..... I guess that would be inconjunct... I, completely, agree that the change of sign is a graduating event. My experience has been my proof and, notes are still being taken My natal Sun sits at 2degrees Gemini, it has progressed to 29Gemini... Venus, apparently, has the most influence on me, however and, is placed at 24Taurus/7th, natally. I think that is why, on most levels, I have never related to my Sun. Now, I am in the midst of stepping through to Cancer and, it appears that, it's gonna be .... well,... a trip!! This brings with it, my 8th house and, the first Saturn Return. YAY!! Ugh!
My daughter has a late degree Libra Sun and, even though she has progressed into Scorpio now, I have yet to really see it shine in her,... she can be kind of, morbid, in a wierd way but....? She has Sagittarius Rising, natally with Pluto, exactly, conjunct. Her natal Moon is, also, conjunct my North Node, all in the Scorpio/12th and, I don't know,... maybe my Uranus conjunct has something to do with my lack of percieving her Scorpio influences....? ... or my Neptune being conjunct her Asc/ Pluto....?
