Great topic!Growing up, I was told many times that I was moody and to stop brooding. The thing is, I'd be completely unaware as to what others were seeing in me, since it was just so NORMAL to me. It made me very self-conscious because (apparently) brooding only looks good if your James Dean or Johnny Depp. I'd be thinking to myself "this is how I am - GET USED TO IT" ...
Brooding is probably a place one goes for privacy, you know? It's a step back from the world, and at times what we see looks bleak. However, a brooding person does not necessarily think of themselves as being negative or sad since many thoughts are NOT negative or sad. It could be our style of reverence for life.
But from what I know of my Chart, I'll tell you what I've learned has contributed to my brooding :::
* Moon in Cancer, which to top it off, is Opposing my Jupiter in Capricorn.
* Venus in Virgo in my 4th House.
* Mercury, Mars & Neptune in Scorpio in the 6th House.
* Venus, Uranus & Pluto in my 4th House.
* Mercury, Mars & Neptune in my 6th House.
* Chiron in Pisces in my 10th House
I suppose having my Sun in Libra in the 5th, my Moon in the 3rd, and Saturn in Capricorn in my 9th makes me even more self-conscious because on the one hand, I'm thinking "get used to it", but on the other I'm like, "I don't want to be a killjoy either!"
By the way, let's take a look at James Dean - he's got :::
* Moon in Scorpio
* Jupiter in Cancer (sucks optimism) as well as Pluto in Cancer.
* Mercury, Venus & Saturn in Capricorn, which is Opposing his Jupiter & Pluto in Cancer by Sign.
* Mars, Jupiter & Pluto are in his 8th House.
Johnny Depp
* Moon in Capricorn
* Mars, Uranus & Pluto in Virgo in his 2nd House.
* North Node in Cancer Opposing his Moon by Sign.
* Mercury & Venus in his 10th House (he married a Capricorn).
* Chiron in Pisces in the 8th House.
(PS: I've never known a Virgo who didn't brood - so I'd say that 6th House is an indicator as well).
