When I was young I was always really disappointed that I was a virgo and that I was an "earth" sign. I wanted to be anywhere but on the earth! Air or Fire sounded like more exciting people to be, who lead more exciting lives (or so I thought). I've never liked the description of virgo and I wanted to be an Aquarius Sag or Scorpio. Part of me still does, but Ive learned that I have a pisces moon, which explains why I've always wanted to escape my boring reality.

How do you feel about your 'astrological make-up'? Do you accept as it is no questions asked, or do you wish you were different? What signs/aspects do you wish you had instead?

Not always.
Most people that know just a few things about Astrology and Scorpios usually consider me being a manipulative femme fatale with huge sexual appetite.
But not everything about me is SEX.
I got feelings too,and some tend to forget that i can be a very sensitive and even easily-hurt person..

no i dont accept it no qs asked,

in fact i always hated being a Gemini....all men are scared of us, our supposed flightiness, lack of concern, promiscuity, etc. I dont know a single person whos fav sign or fav person is a Gemini, that really beat my astrological self-esteem with a stick

I used to think, oh I have scorp moon Cool, now i get to be sexy, but oh no, i dont lol. I get all the obsessive intense emotions of the scorp moon....it doesnt really affect my appearance at all.

I like my libra rising, yay. Venus in Libra or taurus woulda been nice i think it woulda made me prettier. lol

but i thank god, i have no complaints, besides the fact that i ate too much dry fruit and want to barf right about NOW

Love
SG

I'm usually pretty comfy in my astro makeup. I was dissapointed that I was a Virgo too, I wanted to be a Libra, Aqua, or Sag, or Gem, or whatever... Air mostly(although I was happy I wasn't water).
I learned that I had a Aqua asc. which made me feel better, but yeah, I've learned to like what I'm stuck with. I acctually like my being able to analyze so well, it's cool & I LOVE my Aqua asc. My Leo moon gives a nice firey aspect to my personality too. The only thing I think I would change is my Mercury in Leo, I REALLY wish it were in an airy sign. Leo is usually a pretty fun, good communicator, and can put on a show when need be, but it can occasionally come off as arrogant. I HATE it when that happens, even if it is on occasion.

SG that is not true!
I love Gems! Three of my favorite peeps are Gemini.
Don't worry be happy!(that song just popped in my head, maybe those words are for you )

lol SG Some of my fave people are Geminis. Ona my really good friends is Gemini. When I get in a depressive spell I know who to call. Geminis cheer me up so much.

I'm sure there's a lot of people who's fave sign would be Gemini. I think a world without Gemini and Sagittarius would be boring, really really boring..

And besides not all Geminis are that flighty.. Though I like the flightiness. It's entertaining. You never know when or where they're gona pop up again, once they "fly". And they always do pop up again right when I'm starting to miss them..

:edit: About my astro make-up, I've always wanted to know what it would be like to have a traditionaly easy chart with a lot of trines and sextiles. Like a Gemini with a Libra moon and a Leo Asc, something like that.. It gets eeeeek to have a Sun/Moon square.. plus my mars and neptune in capricorn kinda square my Sun as well, by a large orb. On the other hand it makes me a much more determined person I think and I like the intensity it gives me.

Actually, I think my Sun seems very out of place in the rest of my chart.

oh thanks Battle of Evermore, and aries chick, thats so sweet to finally see someone who likes Gems, hehe, although I know too well our weak points, and i feel guilty when we act on our tendencies to do stupid and crazy things. lol.

but i felt a little better about the libra rising, coz ive never read anywhere about libra risings being ugly or bad. lol. and then libra seems like such a peaceful, harmless sort of rising, the perfect offset to my crazy scorpio moon that jus wants to go postal on Gem sun

Aries chick i think its difficult to have a single Aries influence, i know it is ur sun, but mine is Venus in Aries, the only aries in my chart , and i have difficult aspects to it just like your difficult aspects with your sun. (my venus opposes pluto of other things and some pretty harsh aspects!). screws up my relationships a lot for sure! learning a lot of lessons the hard way i think!

Yes/no

I sometimes wish I was born near the end of the year-either a saggitarius or even a capricorn.

HMMMM... i was critical of myself earlier, even today i am but now i think i have become more comfortable with what i am , more than anything its age and experience i think , actually knowledge of astrology has turned me more philosphical , now i understand everyone has some or the other loophole even the mighty scoprs have , aquas the brilliants are not spared than what are we the lesser mortals !
well given a chance i would like to have libra's comic timing , scopr's mysticism ( but in lesser quantities , gem and aries - easy going attitude.

Before I used to never care actually, they used to say Capricorns are hard-working, boring, dependable, pessimistic etc. I used to just shrug and say "I know myself the best" But then I never knew there was something called a birth-chart and all, so I got into it, and mostly everything was fairly accurate, and I don't regret being a Cappy, and I am very comfortable with my sun sign, and with old man saturn.. great man though really strict.
Cheers,
God bless

I found out my sign when I was about eleven. I was disappointed because I didn’t know what Pisces was lol I guess I was hoping for a Leo like my two best friends and actually practically half my family…although I didn’t know it yet.

I was then even more disappointed when I found out Pisces was a fish…I dunno, I was a spoiled child and didn’t like the thought of being a fish - when my mum gets to be a Libra, dad gets to be Capricorn and my brother gets to be an Aquarian.

Later I was even MORE disappointed to find out I had a Virgo Moon. I think the reason was that if I had been born a few hours later I would have had a Libra Moon. I love the Libra sign because of my mother.

Now, things are better. I’ve learned to love my chart…with all it’s weirdness. I like to think my Virgo Moon gets rid of all the negative Piscean traits while my Ascendant helps me “swim up stream” to hopefully reach “serene waters”

So in a way, my Moon and Ascendant complement my Sun btw my Moon is opposite my Sun by sign only, so I’m hoping that’s good.

But I truly fell in love with my Sun when I bought Sun Signs and Love Signs. I was dating an Aries at the time and the Aries man Pisces woman chapter was sooo cute. It said something like…mother nature smiles with approval because no man is more masculine then Aries and no woman is more feminine then Pisces.

So yeah…I’m ok with being the most edible sign of the zodiac
Remember…it’s ok if you bite, just don’t break the skin

I AM COMFORTABLE but i also realize (obviously most of us have if we are at a place like this talking about moon signs, venus signs, mercury signs, etc) that i'm not just a saggitarius either plus every astrological sign affects every part of me/my house, etc. so..............

I am happy w/mine's. There is so much to my sign. It allows me to be the top of feminity and allows me to have the best intuition that is possible. It allows me to be super sensetive for ppl and things that I do not even care for. I am actually happy about my moon too. Gives me a slight balance to my emotional sun..

I've grown to love being in my skin ... I'm Virgo/Libra cusp with fire rising and fire moon ...

I have lots of fire, earth and air in my chart ... My true node is Aries ... I think all that overwhelms the self-depreciating, critical, over-bearing feelings I place on myself ... I've been told I am not or act like a true Virgo ... we can be incredibly tuff on ourselves and get into major funks when our world doesn't seem just right ... My other elements take over immediately and I'm off on new adventure, roaming the world and itching for new love affair ...hehehe

BattleEvermore-you sound like me...I am a virgo with aquarius rising and I do have a Leo as a mercury as well...I bet we're a lot alike..

To the topic...sometimes I am dissappointed in some areas of my astrology makeup, I also never liked being a Virgo, partly because I never felt like one...I am far from a neat freak prude...
But reading about myself helps me gain insight how to modify aspects about myself I want to change, keyword being I WANT to change it...thats what I enjoy about astrology, the better understanding of one's self.

I think my chart is off the wall conflicted but interesting, and honestly I wouldn't want it any other way.

When I was younger I was so so so so so upset that I was a Virgo. I thought it sucked because everyone thought they were boring stick in the mud librarians. Plus i thought it didn't suit me at all because I was always getting into trouble and I was THE loudest most look at meeeeeee kid you could get (Aries Moon, I'm guessing). I was about 6 and for some reason I really wanted to be a Leo because I was depserate to be an actor and thought this was the only way it would be true. The jobs in pre-teen mags they always had for Virgo was stuff like "you'd make a good teacher". That ****** me off sooooo much because I dispise most teachers because they are pretentious and condecending.

But aside from that whole fiasco, yeah, I'm happy. I LOVE my Capricorn Ascendant and Aries moon. Couldn't be more content.

Grrrowlllll- from the Leo I never was.

Shop22much, I bet we really are alot alike, what's your moon?
That stuff you said about using astrology as a means of changing for the better, I agree with that. I try my best to us it that way too.
Right on about the conflicting chart! I think without it my life would be kinda boring. I love that my personality has so many different aspects. Earth, Air, & Fire. I like the diversity

I have every element in my chart equally, but i have a super bundle chart between late libra and aquarius...even my asc is in capricorn.

ALthough I have a sag sun, I've alwasy felt very weighed down and always conscious of others issues, burdens etc. Capricorn and scorpio are both quite heavy in my chart. I would love to know what it would be like to be a carefree gemini or aries. i feel like i'm always so conscious of everything and everyone. ignorance can be bliss.

But i guess we don't have a choice but to work with what we've got. To be yourself is all that you can be. Or at least according to a song.
