Heyyyy

Just a quick question.. I always see "mutual reception" mentioned on astro sites. What exactly does it mean? I've said it myself a few times but I'm not sure if I'm using it right lol

My venus at 29'50 Aries, is trined to Mars at 2 deg Capricorn and Neptune, 4 deg cap. It's also on my north node 0'20 (or zero something) in Taurus.. Could this make it more earthy or un-aries like.. Does this mean it's in mutual reception with those planets?

Hey arieschick!

Here's an example, in my chart I have a mutual reception between Mercury in Taurus and Venus in Gemini. Venus rules Taurus and Merc rules Gemini naturally and they are swiched - in each others natural rulers. Hope that helps.

quote:
mutual reception: A special case of reception in which both planets are in eachother's dignities and in aspect. Modern astrologers tend to omit the aspect qualification. If the dignities involved are not matched it is said to be a mixed reception. See "reception".
