I suppose retrograde planets ( not my area of expertise... well, not much is, really... .) Are said to be a manifestation of inward energy. The house and sign it is in becomes an area of self contemplation as opposed to action.... Mercury being communication, short distance travel, technology, relatives... these areas of your life could contain something which needs to be thought about more deeply rather thn just manifesting.. like something you are unsure of.... The sign Sagittarius is to me, is the philosopher, spiritualist, Universal traveller, teacher, brotherhood communicator, foreign relations ambassador, studious friend.... someone not afraid to take risks and go with the flow. I could see how having merc in Sag could make you be a spiritual messenger to everyone you meet.... I don't see in that interpretation anything about natal retrograde changing this 'vibe'..... Of course, it was a small blurb. My two cents.IP: Logged |

I have found this to be true thusfar :::"...Retrograde (Rx) Mercury in the natal chart is still Mercury, however modified in its action. It is still the planet of communication, the five senses, and the intellect. The function of the Rx Mercury will be expressed as something other than the expected, something away from the norm. Perhaps a few of the senses will be extraordinary. Perhaps the verbal ability will be noteworthy. How about intellectual function? Ask anyone with a natal retrograde Mercury, and he will tell you that his mind and intellect are extraordinary and he will shyly admit to genius..." IP: Logged |

Interesting thoughts. I appreciate them.I have it difficult in discipering just exactly how the mercury in sag, retrograde influences me. I feel that the blurb I found on mercury retro in sag describes me, and have been told that about myself by a few others. Of course they are the select few I feel most comfortable with opening up to. I also feel that my pisces ascendent helps open me up to the broadness of things. IP: Logged | |
