Kiddies, well then... Kids seem to like me, don't know why exactly. I guess it's because I don't patronize them, or kiss on them & tell them how cute they are. They are just mini adults you know, they can get stressed too, they've got feelings.

I like kids, you know, as long as they aren't mine. Yeah well, Having kids is not anywhere near the top of my priority list. Although nor is getting married. Maybe I'll get married and settle down someday... Just later..... MUCH later I think...EEK! Don't want to be that tied down.
Um, but if I ever DO have kids, I would try to teach them respect for others beliefs, to stand up for their own beliefs, to love their neighbor, to be selfless, to live life to the fullest without going completely crazy, to be nonjudgemental, compassionate, open minded, to learn from their mistakes, and to be true to themselves, so they can, and will reach for their goals. That's the basics of what I can think of right now.

I'm a mum to a wonderfully affectionate little chap who's six years old.

The most important things I want to instill in him are: Confidence, Kindness, Respect for others, Good manners, Fairness (ie taking turns) and above all the knowledge that he can always confide in me anything that worries him.

We are pretty close.

Oh children love me, and it’s slightly annoying because I live in a neighbourhood packed with them. Everyday coming home is like mission impossible. Duck, dodge…whatever it takes to not get their attention. It’s not that I hate them, but they don’t leave me alone, they follow me up to my room…and because I love them, I just leave them alone.

I don’t really think about having kids, I’m too young and need to focus on my career.

But if I did, the values I’d instil in them are:
Independence ( which includes thinking ), non-judgemental, compassionate, forgiving and understanding. And to follow their heart. It’s their life it’s their choice.
Damn I’m lenient

I mean to be honest you can’t really teach children these things by talking to them. If they’re anything like me when I was little…it’ll go through one ear and come out the other. I think many children learn from example and end up like their parent…although they don’t realise it. Which is a scary thought actually.

So I would behave in the way I’d want my children to behave. It’s like our neighbour, she constantly screams and shouts to get her point across. But when her children do the same thing they get into trouble and are accused of being disobedient now THAT’S scary.

Moon Virgo

You asked for "sun/moom/libra/mars/asc" - I have a feeling the "libra" you inserted in there was meant to say "venus" instead. You can click on EDIT above that post to correct if you wish.

I'd love to have kids.

Sun - Cap
Moon - Virgo
Mercury - Sag
Venus - Sag
Mars - Scorpio
Jupiter - Cap
Saturn - Gemini
Uranus - Libra
Neptune - Sag
Pluto - Libra
Node - Cap
Ascendent - Gemini

What would I teach them?

I feel like I would promote the arts in their lives.
I might pass on a little earthy common sense if possible.
I would want to teach them not only to believe in themselves, but also that it's possible to live through adversity.
I would want to tell them I'm proud of them often, and let them know I'm on their side.

Ideally (and this might be weird) I think it would be great to bring up kids in struggling middle-class environment where it's still safe, but the kids also are aware of financial constraints. Then when they're between 25 and 30 bestow upon them a good sum of money to go live their lives with.

Sun Scorpio, Moon Leo, Asc. Leo, Venus Scorpio, Mars Scorpio *And Libra Mercury*

I can't wait to have kids! I would guide them towards learning about other cultures and ethnic groups, and how we all should live in harmony. They would learn to love and lead with their hearts and minds, and not judge outer appearances. To not be materialistic. To respect the environment. To travel and experience different places. To treat the mentally and physically impaired like normal people with normal feelings, because all humans feel.

LOL, hot_ice! Drank your aftershave & licked your CDs My cousins are all older than me, so I was the one doing that to them

Acoustic God, I know what you mean about the middle-class environment. I can really see the common sense in that. I would say what I thought about it, but I don't feel like I have a place to, considering I've never been rich, or poor, or ever had kids. I'm quite happy though, acctually I would like to get rid of alot, or most of my material goods. It gives me a real sense of fulfillment, and letting go of the past. That might sound dumb, but that's the way I feel about it.

Oh I love kids... especially my own (haha). I mean, yeah I do desire them and I'm hoping to have one soon. But yeah... whatever will happen, will happen.

Particular values? I dunno... maybe the love for traveling and books.

Yeah I definetly want children someday. I hope I can have kids. Thoughts of a future family have like, saved my life. I did drugs for a lil time, and the thought of my future, having children, etc. (along with alot of other reasons) helped me to stop.

I would like to have kids, in a few years, probably late twenties, early thirties..

The qualities I’d see as important would be.. integrity, friendliness, politeness, taking life with a grain of salt, fairness, ability to apologise and forgive, spiritual awareness, having respect for others, being strong minded and kind hearted, believing in themselves and whatever they want to do, knowing nothing is impossible if they truly try, doing the right thing… this is so the Aries in me speaking but I have to say this because I see it as important.. I’d try to teach them to not lie down when they need to act because life passes by and you don’t always get the same opportunity twice; and not act thoughtlessly when they should be lying down since I do believe that if something is meant to happen it will and if it isn’t, you can’t and shouldn’t force it.

Sun-Aries
Moon-Cap
Asc – Gem 29’
Merc-Pisces
Venus-Aries 29’
Mars – Cap
Jupiter- Pisces
Saturn – Sag

I actually think Jupiter has most to do with the way I would want my kids to be. It is dignified in Pisces which shows optimism. Most of all I’d like them to be optimistic and happy and enjoy their lives.

AG,

That doesn't sound weird to me at all. I like that idea. I want to do this as well now. Good idea!

I love kids!

I only have 1 though, great Sag daughter.
I try to instill in her mutual respect and self confidence, honesty and that she can tell me anything, she has a right to her own feelings but must remember the 'mutual respect' when expressing those feelings, cos other people have a right to their feelings too... beyond that, she's a Sag, she'll do things her way, and man is she feisty!

I did do teaching for a while too - I only had one problem with it, I got on too well with the little people and we got little teaching done in the traditional sense cos we spent too much time having friendly discussions - didn't bode well with school politics

So...the placements:
Sun = Libra (5th)
Moon = Cancer (2nd)
Venus = Libra (5th)
Mars = Aqua (9th)
Asc = Taurus

I've wanted a child since I was fifteen-glad I didn't have him that young though-and at thrirty three years old I found out I was pregnant and now I have a wonderful four year old son. (smile)

There is so much I want to teach him. Most important I want him to feel good about himself and live a happy life. I want him to love by the highest definiton. I want him to respect the world and the people and the things in it. I'm not a religious person per say but I am a great believer in do unto others as you would have them do unto you and we are working on that right now. What it means and how to put it into action.

I'm almost sad to see I've already replied to this.

Another thing I'd teach my kids:

They aren't me, and they'll never be me
I think I would emphasize that pleasing me isn't their goal in life. Their goal is to come to their own conclusions, and pursue their own happiness. I'd hate to give my children that prison of parental expectation. Of course, this kind of attitude also requires that I follow through, and show my support for the things they want to do as well as my appreciation for who they are along the way.

Like you AcousticGod, I want my kids to be true to themselves. As you say, they're not me and nor would I want them to be. I want my kids do 'do better' than me though and I'm happy that they are having a way better childhood than me. That brings me so much joy.

I have two kiddies, one 6 called Katy and one 15 called Conor. I always wanted kids, might have had another but sadly can't.

I encourage my children to freely express themselves (my full fifth house), to be sensitve, (my watery moon), to be respectful of others, to be independent, (my uranus conjunct mars) and to know they are loved without condition, without judgement, and with all my heart.

My 15 year old son comes to me about his 'love life' and I don't know many mothers of a male teenager who can say that. He's not afraid to ask me when he wants to know something.

My daughter tells me she loves me about ten times a day...... and I tell her twenty. She's quite 'needy' about love, wanting to know how much all the time and so I literally drown her with love, love, love!!

My little Leo moon daughter has no problem expressing herslf, and my scorpio moon son is incredibly sensitve.

This is a great topic because I absolutely adore kids. I love them! When I graduate college in a couple more years, I want to be a pediatric nurse. It's been my dream for as long as I can remember to work in a children's hospital. And, having kids in the future is something that is very important to me.

I have a Virgo sun (9th house), Scorpio moon & venus (both in 11th house), Sag ASC @ 5 degrees, Cap mars (2nd house).
