******EDIT um..lol... that's know your formula .. I don't know what I was smoking when I typed that title

So, leave it to a Pisces to blurt out sage advice, utterly oblivious to the wisdom it contains...

I was scrubbing a countertop and complaining to a wonderful Fish (with a Virgo moon) about this feeling I have that I never assert my individuality in relationships. That I'm so..what's the word... mutable ..
Now, astrologically speaking I could not really be considered "mutable". In fact, I'm overwhelmingly fixed.
And yet..whenever I'm "with" someone, I find I mold myself into what my vision of their perfect woman is and stick to that. When I try to reverse my actions and show my true self, they end up confused and I end up embarassed and uncomfortable. Maybe this has nothing to do with astrology, and everything to do with social conditioning..
But that's another avenue.
So..
I looked to Neptune. It squares my Asc. Could this be the culprit?
But that's enough of that. I'm not looking for answers here. I want to share my Piscean friend's wise words.

"I'm so MUTABLE!" I scream out
"So is water," she answers "and yet..it's always H2O. So I guess.. haha.. I guess you always have to know your H2O, even if you're as mutable as water," she concluded, smiled, and walked away.

I just love this. In conclusion, maybe it's ok to try and be all things to all people; to be steam in the morning, ice in the afternoon, and a silver stream in the evening. As long as you always know and retain your formula. The essence.

What do you think?

P.S. why AM I so mutable? For God's sake I have 7 fixed planets in my chart...lol... grrrr......... ok maybe the advice didn't work on me. Hopefully it will on someon else...so I'll send it out there.

Hmmmm.. I like that. I'm often tired and frustrated at the end of the day because of all the roles I have to play. It's hard to stay in a job that you have to fake, and motherhood doesn't come naturally to me either. Looking at it from that point of veiw .... I don't know. It's like if you just keep remeinding yourself throughout the day that this is just an ASPECT of yourself that you've had to magnify for awhile... It seems like an imbalance, which is unhealthy, but over the course of the day I bet it all evens out.

As for relationships, I personally feel like that's what the alone time is for. To reconnect with yourself. I don't think anyone is 100% one way in any situation. But if I had to squelch an important positive aspect of myself in a partnership, I'd go crazy!

whiterabbit -

"insignificant little blue-green planet"?

That's not going to be the core of your formula, is it?
