I recently found some great information that I will share in peices over the next few days.
I have lots so I don't want to flood you all.

Neptune~ Invisible Identity

Neptune's environmental pressures:

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting. - e.e. cummings

"If we made it thru Neptune we can make it thru anything", said Edith Custer once in Mercury Hour. Neptune is a difficult planet even for astrologers, perhaps because Uranus, traditionally said to rule astrology and astrologers, wants to be in control and values clear-headed Saturnian types more than dreamy Neptunians who may be quite difficult to control: "Astrology has too many Neptunians, and trying to get Neptunians organized or redirected can be compared to trying to nail Jello to the wall on a hot summer day." - T. Patrick Davis, in Mercury Hour, 1989.

Cancers have protective shells, Neptune becomes 'Jello'-like when you try to force it to act your way or to nail it down. Being a 'Jello' is just a non-violent way of self-protection. If Neptunians are allowed to do their own thing, there is often nothing Jello-like in them. Neptune doesn't lack backbone, it can be unbelievably strong when it's listening to its own inner guidance without letting others order it around.

Even cats know this way of self-protection. A very charming and a very Neptunian cat (Sun, Moon, and three planets in Pisces, all aspected by Neptune) is a master: When a less Neptunian cat, with a more sociable and pushy personality (Libra, Moon in Scorpio), tries to force the Neptunian cat to play or somehow to 'redirect' it when the Neptunian doesn't feel like it, the Neptunian cat immediately begins to look just like a Jello, it is very relaxed and flabby, it doesn't use its paws, it doesn't hiss or do anything, it just is and stops noticing the other cat whatever it does. If this doesn't help, the Neptunian just turns its back and walks peacefully away.

Being vulnerable to outside influences, sensitive Neptunians need their own protective techniques, otherwise they run the risk of losing their independence and identity. The danger is often very real because others - even astrologers - in a truly Neptunian way have a habit of not seeing Neptunians as they are. Being constantly treated as different than you are may be quite confusing for Neptunians, although most of them in time get used to it.

People ruled by Uranus value their own independence, but they - like Plutonians - may still treat others in a very autocratic way. Becoming a Jello is how Neptunians shield themselves and avoid becoming pawns in the hands of others and losing the ability to live their own life and to be creative in their own unique way.
With Neptune ... in contrast to Uranus there is no revolt against order or structure ... [but only] a tendency to drop-out from any order set up by others, by the 'establishment', or by convention. - Ronald Harvey
The example Neptunians in this study have mostly either Sun-Neptune or Ascendant-Neptune conjunction, Moon-Neptune seems to experience less environmental pressures. No lesser aspects has been studied. http://koti.mbnet.fi/neptunia/aaint1.htm

Sunchild. thank you!

I am reflecting on Saturn and Neptune, they are both quite relevent to me, I have Saturn in the first, in LEO
And I have Venus/Neptune conjunction, and I feel both quite a bit. (Also, Saturn trines Venus/Neptune in my chart)
Uranus is big in my life and identity too....
Thanks for the info!!!!

Thanks! My neptune conjuncts my sun and sextiles my saturn and pluto. I wonder if this astrologer would consider me more neptunian than a sun picses with no other neptune asepcts?

My defense mechanism as a child was always to turn into jelly and space out completely, this was pretty effective when my dad would yell at me. He's a very temperamental libr on the scorp cusp. It doesn't work so well in the adult working world, one must be more assertive.

No worries Pix!
Yay, LEO Rising, got to love them, same position as my darling!

Here's an article for Uranus from the same source.

John Townley on Uranus

Uranus is the primary mythological male figure. It is proto-male with no female characteristics whatsoever. ... It is the ultimate yang principle, rather than the more human and ego-aggressive maleness that Mars represents. It is, in fact, not aggressive at all but simply, overwhelmingly stark and irresistible by its pure unmitigation.

Uranus is connected with surprise and its offshoot, humor. A combination of the unusual with the unexpected is bound to arise when the qualities of startling truth mixed with the bizarre are revealed.

When Uranus in its pure form of total truth meets resistance, it cannot compromise or blend. It must totally destroy its resistance or be destroyed itself.

Astrology in its more scientific and less mystical forms is associated with Uranus.

As a motivating factor in the chart, Uranus represents the underlying will and purpose for discovery and enlightenment in life.

By aspect, Uranus will tell how well the individual fits in with his age group particularly and with society at large in general. Those with easy aspects to Uranus or contact with benefics tend to fit in well with their peers and accept group opinions of what is interesting or important. ... Those with hard aspects to Uranus or that planet in contact with malefics tend to be either social misfits, overachievers, or both. The tension produced by such aspects produces a personality that often clashes with the norm and is driven to explore new territory and taste forbidden fruits.

Uranus when harshly aspected is associated with crime and violence. The so-called "criminal" of the Uranus type simply cannot compromise with society to the extent of obeying its laws when he sees the truth differently.
