Why do you think that until recently, Gemini traits were not considered "sexual" in nature?------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

Mercury was considered an androgynous god. Think Hermes=Hermaphrodite. Gemini supposedly can go "both" ways and has a somewhat aquarian detached love for all creatues. Plus gemini is so cerebral anyway, sex is not always the most important thing to them.IP: Logged |

Only recently? What about these steamy Geminis (or at least, they were in their day): Joan Collins was considered to be pretty sexy back in the day. Although I couldn't find any good pictures, Lawrence Olivier, another Gemini, was pretty sexy back in the 40s and 50s. And let's not forget one of the original sex godesses: Plenty of women found this Gemini sexy: Women STILL throw their panties at THIS Gemmy: And this guy is known for being a sex machine: Plenty of sexy Gemmies over the years. They get a bad rap...

>Why do you think that until recently, Gemini traits were not considered "sexual" in natureSexual implies "sensual" and "slow" like a Taurus or a Leo. Geminis are jumpy and nervous. Unless, that is, they have some Tau/Leo in their charts. IP: Logged |

Astro, you said this was a quiz... does that mean you have an answer you'd like to share with us? Interesting question. Maybe it has something to do with being twins... the focus is more on the relationship with self/selves than with others???? A question back for ya... do you think this applies somewhat to all air signs? To me it kind of does. Let's see... still thinking out loud here... I think of fire signs as being very masculine, and I think of water signs as being very feminine. The earth and air signs seem, to me, to fall in the middle of the spectrum on their respective sides. *Just a note* This generalization doesn't apply to any specific person or people. These are just the connotations I link to the elements under the condition that I be moved to think about it. IP: Logged |

Fire and earth are primitive and focus on the self. Air and water are derivative and focused on others. Fire and air are naturally extrovert, optimistic, active, and freedom oriented. Earth and water are basically introvert, pessimistic, passive, and security oriented.IP: Logged |

Right. I realize that earth and water are feminine, and fire and air are masculine. I think Acoustic God's comment coincided a bit with my train of thought on the subject. (Fire and Water = focus on the self and Air and Earth = focus on others.) I can't really explain that thought right now, as far as giving any logic behind the idea. Just something that crossed my mind. IP: Logged |

Hmmmm... this is reaching, but maybe in a way. If one were not focused on himself, then would he be aware of his own sexuality?Still just thinking... IP: Logged |

Personally i really think whether a gemini comes off as sexy or sexual it's because they probably have other influences in their chart that give them that added omph! Really gemini as a sign is not very sexual in nature. But that is just my opinion.IP: Logged |

Maybe when I think of sexual, I think of reaching out to someone. Fire signs seem to pursue, and water signs seem to lure. Air and earth seem to be less likely to reach out on that level.Of course in reality I know lots of sexual air and earth people... IP: Logged |

Well - it's a quiz because it's gonna require homework. There is rarely ONE answer in astrology. It is a practice which never ends. We learn more, share experiences, and give feedback.I think cerebral stimulation is more electrical, and I think that describes the Gemini "sensuality" or "sexuality" the best - as opposed to "Earthy" or "Passionate". The lightest of touches goes a long way with them. I love all your responses, and I do think the androgeny angle is applicable. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |
