The math part of astrology keeps kicking my bum...

let's say astro.com says I have Merc at 12Lib46'01". Now, how do I round that up to just degrees? Would it be 12 or 13? I forgot what the half for minutes and seconds is...is it 30? And when you hit the 30 mark for seconds and degrees do you round up?

For example: would something at 24Sa16'34" be expressed as, 24Sa17 and then 24Sa?

Please help the mathematically challenged Virgo

I suck so bad at math too, yet my dumb school refused to get me a tutor. Poopheads!

Einstein had a weird tongue! Big head and weird tongue.

I bet I'm worse than all of you at math.

I'm not sure if I understand why you want to round up......I know with the Sabian Symbols you do that. But the degree where your planet is at, is the actual degree. It goes, degree, minutes, seconds. But the degree is the degree that it is at, no need to round up. I believe it's '59 minutes to each degree and starts at zero again. Have to look into that.......

Let me know if I'm missing something. (very possible)

Math is... okay. I'm good at it, but only after I've had concepts explained to me once. Don't find it very interesting though .

VTT- the half is thirty, I think, and so you would round up 30 and up, if you were rounding. 12Lib46'01 would be 13 degrees then. I might be wrong though.

I forgot why I wanted to round up...crap! Oh wait, I just have 3 or 4 charts from different sites that round my seconds up/down and I think my curiosity was wondering how it's done I think you are right about them being 59 degrees and back to 0!

thanks Everlong!

*head explodes thinking about math *
