I asked about this one. I rather go with both. I also heard the Davison one was also very accurate.

Hi Sweet_Face, There is another thread somewhere around here, that this was asked about. Here's what I can give on the differences in the two and what brain-storming another Knowflake came up with... The Composite Chart is cast by finding the mid-points between the planets of each chart.... I.E. the mid-points between the 2 Sun's, the 2 Moon's, the 2 Mercury's...etc... but, because this gives a placement based only on the placements of each in seperate charts, the Composite is useful, in and of itself, only. The Davison Chart can be used in the same ways that an actual Birth/Natal Chart is used.... I.E. progressions, transits... etc. The reason being, that it takes into account the time/space factor and, in that, creates actual planetary placements. By that, I mean, the planets were, really, aligned that way in the heavens. It actually IS a Birth Chart, in that, it is an energy unique to the 2 individuals when they interact. So, the brain-storm which I have tried to find the thread but, with no luck, ... the idea suggested, was that the Composite might show how the couple is percieved by others and, the Davison may give more insight into the ' behind closed doors ' aspects of the energy created, the stuff that only the individuals involved would be able to validate. .... I am, incredibly, sorry for my awful memory of names Credit for that theory is due to Secret Garden or, Future_Uncertain,.... or possibly another .... gawd! My, sincerest apologies to whose brain gave this wonderful theory.... Thank You... ~ geminstone

I agree with you Sweet_Face. We rarely use a composite but, do know it enough, anyway. We like the Davison because, it really is 'Us', made 'We'. I'm curious if anyone who has pulled both types, have the Sun position opposite each other...? In our Composite Chart, we have a 12Leo Sun but, in our Davison Sun placement is at 14Aquarius. The houses are squared. 12 Leo is in 5th. 14Aquarius in the 8th. Our Aquarius Sun is conjunct Eros too!! Sorry Sweet_Face, I am still trying to get all of it figured out too! Hopefully someone with their knowing, can help you out soon... ~ geminstone
