astrology.com uses the Equal House System and astro.com uses Placidus in their default charts, although at astro.com you can select whichever house system you want to use under the Extended Charts section.....

I think it's all a matter of personal preference -- I began my studies using Equal House but once I got used to Placidus I much prefer it.....
