Anyone pay attention to 'em? I was recently reading an article about 'Algol'. The article said the star's historcially known to be 'evilest' in the heavens. The article also claimed that if a person's got connections with the star to either their Sun or Moon there's a possibility their death's going to tragic by way of extreme illness or even violence... that got me a bit worried. The star Algol is in Taurus... I'm a Taurus. In my chart my Sun, Moon, AND Algol all fall in the 4th H... I THINK the star's in conjunction with at least my Sun. What should I think of this (if anything)?

Hello Almost an Angel,

Caput Algol is at 26 degrees Taurus, my Sun. *nervous laugh* I posted a ton of info on the fixed stars in the Free Astrology Course for amisha.

Randall will let you into the course (if you dont already have access) and you will find some great info there.

PS. Cant see your chart....

Since Algol lies at 26TAU10, and my Sun's only positioned at 19 deg. 15 min. of Taurus, am I off the hook from all this stuff?

With that particular fixed star yes. You only allow a one degree orb with fixed stars.

There are LOTS of fixed stars though. I'm sure you have at least one conjunct one of your natal planets.

Hi AAA,

I'm at work right now. I'll try to look at it later.

I think your ascendant is conjunct “Peacock” with a 34min orb
Venus conjunct Rigel, 21 min orb
Uranus Opposite Capella, Alnath, Bellatrix -03, 46, and 51 minute orbs respectively.
And, Kaus Australis is conjunct Neptune with a 38 minutes orb.

And if you’re looking for some very medieval interpretations of these, (Like death by beheading, :eek or just trying to get a general idea, go to http://www.winshop.com.au/annew/
And http://www.winshop.com.au/annew/0768.htm

Algol is too far away to be considered in conjunction to the Sun. Nothing to worry about there. It’s conjunct my Ascendant,
but I think it has something to do with female power, since people like Mae West also has it conjuncting her ascendant. I guess it could be worse.

Hope this helps,
Crystal

Beat you to it 26Taurus

I read that Algol was in aspect with one of Princess Diana's planets when she died.

Thanks Crystal97900. Have any idea what's the meaning behind those star connections you've mentioned might be in my chart?

How exactly are conjunctions formed anyway? I mean, like, what's got to be going in order for two things to be deemed 'in conjunct'?

A conjunction is a connection between two planets that means they're always working together. I'm sure someone else can come up with a better definition then that, but it works.
Like with the fixed star Peacock, conjunct your ascendant, maybe you're picky about the way you look? Or particularly good looking - Or something to that extent. It has something to do with the way other people perceive you.
Take a peek at one of those websites. Taurus26 might be able to help more. I just started learning about the fixed stars about 3 weeks ago.

Mine suck. So, basically...I might be famous and successful, but will eventually die a violent death at the hands of supposed friends.

Woo. Hoo.

The Tarot card is the Falling Tower (AKA Shattered Citadel) which also happens to be the card of my birthday date...the 16.

Again...Woo. Hoo.

Again, thank you, Crystal9700... for the links and everything - they're interesting and informative.

It's nice to know I've apparently been spared the unfortunate 'evil' wrath of Algol... LOL!!
