Aren't people of the same sign supposed to get along the best.I've met a couple of Sag people born in November and I must say,I do not particularly like them even though I am a Sag myself.I find though that I do get on best with Sages born in Late December say from the 15th up to and including the 22nd.Is there a pattern that I don't know about? And oh, a friend of mine married a Cancer, she being a Sagittarian and she claims she's never been happier! She dated an Aries and a Gemini before and when Mr Cancer, after just 4 months of dating, proposed marriage she said "yes".But that could do with the fact that both her venus and mars are in cancer,so perhaps there is truth in that looking at ones sun sign alone is not enough to draw a conclusion on whom they would be happiest with. But isn't the Sun the ego?How can one deny the self, the ego of what it craves and wants by dating opposing elements and even incompatible ones.Just wondering about it any thoughts??

I've never been attracted to an Aries.. except Hayden Christinsen lol I can't say I've been attracted to a Leo or that I'd be happy with one..on some level there is emotional compatibility ..but not enough of it. Sags are cool but ..I don't know maybe they'd suit an Aries with more air in her chart. My Cap moon's in the 8th, I'm too deep too intense, I want something REAL and I want a guy who's always going to be there no matter what. I don't see your 'typical' Sag as someone who'd do that.. because they love their freedom usually.

my bf's Libra..and things could not be better. He also has a Cap moon and Cap Asc though. I deffinetly think other placements count a whole lot more than sun signs, specially in relationships. The traditional best matches are ones of the same element..but i find the trine aspect..is "nice"..just THAT, plain nice.. not attractive, not sexual, not challenging ..just 'nice' lol I think it's better for friendships than relationships.

Looking at sun signs only doesn't tell you much at all in my experience. Things can go so wrong with ppl who are theoretically compatible..and vice versa

I've thought about that myself..and I think it's an "old" traditional way of seeing it.. "THE SUN's THE EGO..the sun is everything"..na, personally I disagree. If I wasn't into astro..if I had only read my sun sign's description..it would really be of no help to me at all. There's so much more to me, so many more experiences ..really really bad ones..and some good ones that have shaped my personality. Looking at my chart I've found certain things that make perfect sense..they don't paint a full picture..but it's deffinetly more of a picture than my sun sign paints. Even really small things can sometimes make a lot more sense than something major and obvious like the Sun. yesterday I looked at Ceres..that's just an asteroid..but the interps for both me and my bf struck more of a chord than a lot of other interps on other more "important" things..

I hear you,but I must say I disagree with your statement that trine contacts are merely "nice" and not suitable for relationships. For me though I find that I have more fun with Leo and Aries signs than I do air signs. This could be that I've got a lot of planets in the ninth house(sun, mercury, jupiter, neptune, uranus and lilith(whatever that is).I really connect deeply with someone who has fire and passion in their personality,an almost purposeful existence and that is true with a lot of fire signs.

Air signs, although great intellectual partners don't inspire me or enthrill me at all. They seem a little too detached from themselves and lack a certain "vava voom".

Water signs, although extremely passionate and intense, weigh me down by being too negative and inventing a lot of fears.I find a lot of them live inside themselves and so many tend to fear the outside world.

Earth signs, though charming and down to earth, well..atleast the ones I know, are reserved, aloof and seem not too concerned about the bigger picture than just getting through the day,the week, the month, the year etc..

You could have your venus in an air sign or a lot of air in your chart to find a libran attractive.I myself barely meet up with interesting Librans and have yet to find a soulmate in any air sign!

Heh, I don't think you can rely on Sun Signs, either. I'm an Aries, right? Traditionally, I'd get on best with Leo's and Sagittarius', right? Heh, I've never met a Leo, face to face, that I could stand. Sag's are a totally different story though. I love 'em. But that might just be, cuz my Moon is it Sagittarius.

My best friends always seem to be Water signs, too. Which is unusual, going by sun signs, because I was born under a fire sign. My ex best friend (due to lack of contact, I'm afraid. Shame, I miss her.) was a Pisces, and my other closest friends - 2 Scorpios and a Cancer.

As far as relationships, though, I usually go for Sag's. Even in guys. The idea that a guy is attracted to girls based on their Venus sign is so untrue for me. I've never been attracted to a girl who you could describe as being "Piscean". Or any guy for that matter, either. Usually they're Sag. types. I think the moon has a greater power there. At least for me. :-/
