I think I have found my soul mate. I'm engaged, so of course I'm happy - but I want to know for sure.

I'm so excited because I just got his hour of birth and now I have his chart.

A few months before we met I was told I would meet someone of his description and that he would be my soul mate.

Everything was fantastic, and I was confused because he's a Leo and I never saw myself with a Leo. I read Love Signs and I had no idea that true love could really exist.

I'm very happy with him, but I'm itching to find out what our charts say about us. Does anyone mind having a squiz and giving me their opinion?

In my opinion they are very good But I have only just delved further into astrology.

In looking at relationships, it is helpful to look at Libra/Venus/7th house (relationships) in each chart to see how each person sees "relationships". In your chart you have a Boomerang (focus) on the Midheaven (outer world) in Libra (relationships), Venus (relatoinships) in a "fate degree" (strong energy), but have no energy focused in the 7th house (relationships). So you focus in on the energy of relationships but do not go into relationships for the sake of being in relationships.

He has no energy in the sign of Libra, Venus (relationships) square (energy needs to be combined with) Uranus (friends, also impulse), and has Mars (being, also action) conjunct (energy is combined with) the 7th house (relationships). So he impulsively uses "friendly relationships" energy and takes action to get relationships.

Taking a look at your synastry chart (how your two energies together work), there are many easy contacts to Venus (relationships). However you do have each of your Mars (being, also action) square (energy needs to be combined with) Mars, so you may get into arguments. Also his Saturn (duty, also restriction) is square (energy needs to be combined with) your Sun (self-expression) and Mercury (thinking). However, since his Neptune (spirituality, also the ideal) is opposite (energy is over-excited by) your Sun and Mercury, you may not notice whether he is "restricting" you in some way. The "relationships" connection is clear since four of his planetary energies fall into your 7th house (relationships).

While I don't know about "soul mates", I do know about nodes. And both of your North nodes (life goals) are aspected (connected into) each other, so you can help each other grow and develop.

A marraige requires both people working on it to make it fully work out, as long as you and he are determined to make it work, it will!

I have yet to get further into the chart. I find it a bit overwhelming when they talk about degrees and charts and positions.

Tim, I have been to your site and I got confused at Step 5 I think where it goes into the planets. I don't understand why it shows the planets in each house (I know each house is ruled by a planet and a sign and they're the same planets that rule the signs right?) but it doesn't go into the positions of the planets in my chart and I thought that's what reading your chart was about.

I also don't know how to read mine and my bf's charts because I know little about them besides the Sun, Moon and Ascendant information. I went to Dr Z's Crash Course at about.com but that didn't give me any more insight either.
