Here's my data if it's needed throughout this stuff:

May 10, 1986
12:44 a.m.
New York, NY

Question 1:

Anyone know of a good place where to read up on house rulers? If not, could someone please tell me the analysis behind mine? MY placements are the following:

I'm not sure about the ruler of my 1st. Do I say it's in the 10/11th house because that's where my Saturn's at in my chart for my Capricorn Asc.?
Ruler of 2nd house in 11th
Ruler of 3rd house in 12th
Ruler of 4th house in 5th
Ruler of 5th house in 3rd
Ruler of 6th house in 3rd
Ruler of 7th house in 4th
Ruler of 8th house in 4th
Ruler of 9th house in 5th
Ruler of 10th house in 9th
Ruler of 11th house in 2nd
Ruler of 12th house in 2nd

Question 2:

:::UPSET::: What's it mean if the ruler of your 8th house is in the 7th, and your 7th is in the 6th?

Question 3:

:::UPSET::: What's it mean if your Sun and Mercury falls in the 8th house in your chart, and what's it mean if the Moon's in the 4th? I'm particulary curious about the placement of Mercury, because I've read lots of astrology books claiming that if a person's got theirs in the 8th, then there's a possibility they'll specifically inherit the possessions of either a brother or sister as a result of their early demise.

Question 4:

:::UPSET::: In synastry, what's it mean if a persons Mars and Saturn are in your 8th house, and what does it mean if their Uranus is in your 10th? What's it mean if their Sun's in your 8th house and their Moon's in your 4th? What's it mean if my Sun and Moon is their 4th?

Question 5:

Minor aspects - pay attention to them or not? In my chart Uranus SemiSquares my Pluto, as does my Venus to my N.Node and my Saturn to my Asc. Are the 'orbs' in these aspects close enough to be taken into consideration? Should minor aspects just be disregard altogether?

Here's You from www.astro.com :

Sun in Taurus, Moon in Gemini
You were born with the Sun in Taurus and the Moon in Gemini. Your Taurean individuality is strong-willed and purposeful. You are warm-hearted and amorous, but you lack mental flexibility.
The Taurean nature is dedicated to the gratification of your physical and psychological needs. Having the Moon in Gemini, however, has determined that your personality role will be oriented more to dealing with intellectual concepts and activities, which you may oppose emotionally.
Others consider you somewhat of an intellectual. Because your mind and body require activity, you will travel and change your residence frequently. Only those who are close to you know you as a stubborn and strong-willed person.
Circumstances (Moon in Gemini) have forced you to earn a livelihood through activities that may conflict somewhat with your real nature. If you can somehow project your stability, it will carry over to your life work and your relationships with others.
Your shifting mind would benefit infinitely from the stability that lies deep within you. Allowing this to permeate throughout will assure success in all you undertake. On the other hand, if you could somehow lend to your internal nature the versatility of your personality, you would achieve a complete harmony.
Ascendant in Capricorn, Saturn in the Eleventh House
At the time of your birth the zodiacal sign of Capricorn was ascending in the horizon. Its ruler Saturn is located in the eleventh house.
The sign of Capricorn denotes an existence in which temperament is very important. You will give an image of ambition, persistence, will power, consistency and perseverance. You were born with the tendencies to seek material, social, and, perhaps, even political power.
Capricorn tends to a challenging life which forces you to exert all your resources in order to triumph. Because of your tact and prudence, you will be favored with the good will of important people.
Your mind is egocentric, rational and you have a natural tendency toward scepticism. Able to work hard, you will bear obstacles and frustrations with patience.
You will proceed with prudence in your love life and in all other activities. You will seriously consider all of the ramifications of a relationship, especially the aspects of your independence, and you will not commit yourself to a partner until you are sure of your choice. After that however there is a tendency to conduct a peaceful and quiet life.
You are very economical in your daily activities, and if you do not exert some control over this trait, it could appear as rather mean.
You are best placed in governmental, municipal, political, or large business organizations where hierarchy is very exactly defined. The key word for your professional orientation is responsibility.
This position indicates that a greater part of your life will be dedicated to the completion of interesting and favorable friendships. There will not be much element of chance in your existence. Your temperament likes method and causality, leaving little margin for unpredictable events or luck.
Note: Saturn is technically near the end of house 10 and is therefore interpreted in house 11.
Sun in the Fourth House
The Sun appears in the fourth house at the time of your birth. This is an indication that parental name, family affairs and other domestic matters are of the utmost importance in your life.
Sun brings honor, pride, and fame to anything under its influence, and it is indicated that the problem of these influences here is that proper success for you cannot materialize until you are well past your mature years. There appears to exist a very strong attachment to one of your parents.
You believe in being the "ruler" in your home, and the sense of privacy is extensively developed in your nature.
As life passes you will experience illuminating insights connecting your individuality with certain racial and family elements. Study them. You will then perhaps discover the nature of the spiritual mission which destiny requires of you.
Moon in the Fourth House
The Moon was found in the fourth house at the time of your birth. Moon here will definitely influence events concerning your mother, places of residence and family matters.
Both your childhood and even your older age will be characterized by a love of romance, various journeys, and interesting adventures.
The liability of this astrological combination is that it gives you an uncertain position in life and a perpetual striving for material security that seems to be hard to come by. This may be relieved temporarily by your receiving a small inheritance and will be almost overcome by the final years of your life by excellent family care and assistance.
Venus in the Fifth House
Venus was found in the fifth house at the time of your birth. At first glance this denotes rich, intense, and pleasant emotional events that will enhance your psychic nature. You are a person who could be regarded as fortunate in love and very successful. Whereas Venus grants the basic capability to reach full enjoyment from love and emotional involvements, it also indicates a tendency to be somewhat inconsistent, volatile, and changeable in romance. Although you are capable of loving intensely and with devotion, the tendencies are to lose interest after a certain time. You would be in a better position if you could exert some control over your span of interest.
Saturn in the Eleventh House
Saturn was found in the eleventh house at the time of birth. Psychologically, this denotes a rather hidden and limited view of your personal ambitions, your friendships, and of your future. You're very ambitious, cautious, just, patient, responsible, but perhaps, too serious.
You're an individual with few friends and even there you may find that some of them will assist you with advice rather than with actual help in times of peril.
Note: Saturn is technically near the end of house 10 and is therefore interpreted in house 11.
Mars Conjunct Ascendant
Mars conjunct the Ascendant gives you an inexhaustible supply of energy. You are constantly in motion, but sometimes it is motion without meaning. Lacking self-discipline, you take daring and unnecessary risks when challenged. You want most of all for people to recognize your superiority.
The image you present hides a persistent inferiority complex. You probably win your arguments by making the most noise and wearing out your opponents with unceasing harassment. But you do not need to waste energy this way, because you have enormous creative ability that merely needs to be harnessed to an objective. When you do this, no one can succeed as easily as you can, and with energy to spare.
On the positive side, you are independent and self-confident. You know how to mobilize people and their resources to achieve your objectives.

.. i be in the middle of gathering synastry info for posting .. watch out for post header 24/48 hr ..

.. work on the major aspects first ... minor aspects are just that .. minor .. however they do form part of some configurations .. like the 'yod' for example .. .. and they can tie in other aspects ... big like a big jigsaw puzzle ..

.. house rulership follows the natural zodiac .. i.e. 1st house be Aries ruled by Mars .. 2 nd house be taurus ruled by Venus .. .. basicly follow the signs around the zodiac and figure their ruling planets .. then u will have the house rulers .. the 'chart' ruler be another matter ..

Angel,

If you are new to astrology and are trying to understand your chart, looking at the ruler of houses can be confusing. Instead, look at the where the planetary energy is focused in your houses to get a good "overview" of your chart. For simple guide to basic chart interpretation see: http://www.geocities.com/wilsontctc

Trying to help,

Tim
