It's very hard finding information about it. Seeing that it's the cusp of the 4th and the tidbits I've gathered from various websites- it seems to be a very private spot on the chart, concerning security, family?
Could anybody give a better explanation?
Also, how would you interpret (these are two different charts): Saturn conjunct IC (almost perfectly), and in the other, Neptune, also perfectly conjunct?
Thanks!

I am a fourth house Sun, and actually I have a stellium there as well.
I know in synastry, if someone's planet is in your fourth house, it crates a dynamic between that planet and the house.. the fourth house is early development, a shared past, comfortable feelings.. like they are 'home' to you... or each other's past and early development means something to the other....or that you want to be as personal as possible with them.. create a family, etc. Saturn there would suggest stability in the home life.. responsibility to the fourth house person. Possibly a domineering attitude and that they want to create rules.. but stability is important in a shared family life.
Neptune is more dreamy there.. illusions, possibilities, a fated sense of home... or instablity as opposed to Saturn's stability. You don't se something, or you magnify things you see.... which may be only partially there. Neptune's tricky.

The fourth house is a private, personal house. Representing house, and home, for real. It is a good contact to have in synastry. (As opposed to the tenth, or MC, which is how the world sees you.... it is your inner life, your growth, your primal response to growing up etc...
There's more, but thats a quick top of the head rundown....

I've also got a 4th house Sun with a stellium there, plus that Neptune conjunct the IC. I've never paid much attention to my 4th house but I'm starting to think I should, it seems pretty packed. In a weird way I just don't feel a strong Cancer influence or 4th house issues as important in my life. But it can be hard to look at your own chart at times. I also have trouble with the angles, understanding how they're different from the houses (1st, 4th, 7th, 10th).
Anyways, I'm trying to "get" my 4th house.

Mine is in libra. So is my mars, pluto, and saturn.

My cappy's is in gemini. Do you think that will make a difference if my sun, mercury, and 12th house are in gemini?

His mars is in gemini and so is his 5th house.

I hardly find info on it.

There's more info on IC at the bottom of this article.

This one is interactivew.. you can click on a definition....

I love this website.

I am still looking for more information on the IC.... I could use a better understanding myself, being that it is very important to me.. Funny, I also don't feel a great Cancer influence in my chart.. although I have highlighted areas in my personal life.. and a high degree of conflict in the personal home. ( in my brain, that is..) Instability, being that the planets there seem like the wrong ones for harmony and stability.....
I suppose those are my lessons.

26Taurus has a great take on the fourth house.. maybe she'll come and help explore...

pixie covered it nicely - fellow 4th house Sun. Look to the fourth house to see who someone is deep down inside. This is the most private part of ones chart. If you have planets there, your inner life is very rich and you might not allow others into certain parts of it. I'm a very private person, which is shown by my 4th house Sun (and 8th house Moon. It's about stability, or lack of it, and your parents and early home environment.

This is a good link, the interps seem pretty good. I agree with what they said about my afflicted 4th house Sun.

quote:
If the Sun is in detriment or fall and/or afflicted by malefics, you may not know your father or you become estranged from him. Often there is discord and power struggles on the domestic scene and the native may struggle with finding a place to belong, particularly if the birth was nocturnal.

I found these quotes on planets in the 4th house....

Saturn in the fourth house
The interviewer: What are your earliest childhood memories?
Marilyn Monroe, Gemini: It is the memory of a struggle for survival...

Neptune in the fourth house
Nor ear can hear nor tongue can tell
The tortures of that inward hell. - Byron, Aquarius

Sun in the fourth house
Surely God would not have created such a being as man, with an ability to grasp the infinite, to exist only for a day! No, no, man was made for immortality. - Abraham Lincoln, Aquarius http://koti.mbnet.fi/neptunia/astrology/ichouse1.htm

thanks,
I looked at all of those links. I guess I never really realized the 4th house could be more than just the physical home or family.
Actually, I just thought of something weird. For years I've had a weird daydream/vision of the house I will live in when I'm much older. It's not really my fantasy house, it just came to me one day. I don't really believe in being psychic, and yet I'm convinced I will live in that house one day. Also, when I was travelling in Central America, I visited this man in this little house on top of a hill overlooking a beautiful valley and mountains, and as soon as I got there I felt like I had dreamt about the house. I even painted it. When I got back home I looked at the painting and it was uncannily similar. So- Neptune in 4th, there you go..lol
Now I've got to start relating to all the other planets in there.

So I take it that my sun in gemini being in his 4th(IC) house is good?
