Hey,Did you guys have any unsusual births? I was almost 2 months premature, the birth itself was easy (although my mom thinks I was stalling and didnt want to come out), but I was too weak to suckle from the breast or from the bottle, and had to have a tube forced down my throat into my tummy to feed me for a while. Someone told my mom I was just too lazy to suck from the breast, so she would have to put me to sleep hungry, and I would cry and cry, but then I learned to work for it. Hmmm... Anyone have similar tales to relate? IP: Logged |

Yes. Cappy rising here and was premature and it was not an easy birth. My mom, who BTW was a Cappy, had to have a c-section. Apparently she was having some problems and the doctor felt it would be best to go ahead and do the operation. I was her one and only child. She had a hysterectomy about a year after I was born. For a awhile I was a bit sickly, but then became healthy and robust...always giving mom a run for her money!!IP: Logged |

Cappy Asc is here.I was also 2 months premature, I was too weak to suckle from the breast and sleept all the time so they could not wake me up. So two days after my birth when my mom was trying to wake me up to feed she noticed that I went all blue and stopped breathing. This happened twice. So I spent some time in the intensive care unit, doctors said I nearly starved, LOL IP: Logged |

Cappy Sun and Cappy risingI was only a couple days early (2 - is that the common number im seeing) Otherwise as far as i know the birth went alright. Im not sure, come to think of it, if i was a c-section or natural birth. Ill have to ask. I was healthy as a child. Never sick. I could count the times i was sick (even common cold) on one hand until i began to hit puberty. Then everything changed. Still, however, no majoy illnesses or sicknesses. I did come down with Thrush of the mouth in 6th grade. Doctors were baffeled. I remember having doc after doc after nurse after doc come into the exam room .... "Ohh , doc so-and-so told me about you, you mind if i have a look?" finally i got irritated and told people no. interesting ... why do you ask? IP: Logged |

I was a firstborn and born before my due date - about 8 days before, not preemie. I was kinda small though, and puny. I had a problem w/ my foot. They put a cast on it right away. I had to have braces on my legs at night until I could have surgery when I was about 1 1/2. I've been told I wasn't a happy baby, I screamed all the time.------------------ Libra Sun, Taurus Moon, Capricorn Rising IP: Logged |

Hello. Fellow Cappie rising here. I was a little early when I was born. May 17th was my mom's due date but I came out I'm sure reluctantly on May 2nd!LOL I'm the Eighth of Nine siblings. My mom told me when I was older that she almost lost me. She was bleeding heavily and had to stay in the hospital with her legs elevated for six weeks. Sounds like she had a ball with me! My mom told me I had a totally normal birth, and I'm a cappy rising. She already had three kids before me... I don't know if that has anything to do with mine being normal or not.. but there it is.IP: Logged |

I have Capricorn rising and am the first-born. I arrived exactly on my due date but my mum had to have forceps because my head was twisted round and pretty jammed. Mum said I would probably not have made it had the medical staff not intervened. I think it was a long, drawn-out process. Poor Mum.IP: Logged |

Capricorn's rising for me as well. I was born with jaundice, and I was also born pigeon-toed as a result of the odd position I had my feet in while inside the womb... casts corrected the problem. I'm an only child. IP: Logged |

Cap rising here! My mom was in labor with me for 2 whole days. It was a difficult birth, but no c-section. My nose wasn't the way it should've been. The dr. said that it was so soft if they massaged it every day it would be ok. They did and it was. I don't think I wanted to come....and, well, she wasn't married, so it wasn't the greatest thing to happen to her either. But, I guess it was meant to be--because we have loved each other very much. I haven't posted about this anywhere yet....but she just died suddenly and unexpectedly early Wednesday, the 13th. She was Pisces--I think Uranus got her, darn it. Well, now she can be in heaven. Wildflwrs, I'm so sorry to read about your loss, certainly she is in heaven. I hope that she was not in pain. And wasn't the love you guys had wonderful? Love, especially when it arises from adverse circumstances is one of the greatest gifts in life. I wish you and your family the best. IP: Logged |

awww, wildflwrs...my heart is in my throat, reading about you and your mum...and it goes out to you. my heart almost breaks when i read about such closeness with people's mothers...i'm sending you lots of love and light...i have capricorn rising and i was 6 weeks premature (i think it was 6 weeks). my mother was confined to her bed for weeks or months, i don't remember, before i was born. she told me that my father would carry her to the kitchen sink to wash her hair; she was that restricted. they're divorced now, but for some reason that image of his doing that for her makes my heart melt and my eyes teary. maybe because my husband hates me and wouldn't lift a single finger to help me with my newborn babe when i was almost immobile with pneumonia...maybe it's because my mother hates me, but once she loved me enough to help me enter this world, and the man she now hates loved her enough to gently wash her hair while she was carrying and nurturing me... i don't know, is such a heavy heart redolent of cappy rising? there was one thread here that i used to read over and over...from a knowflake who posted very little...she was talking about her mother, remembering her mother always telling her as a little girl that she was "shiny as a new penny." she then said, "sad...i miss her." for some reason the simplicity and the huge amount of love and remembering in this post touched me tremendously and deeply. and there was such joy in it too. she and her mother had shared such a sweet love for each other... i hope to find it again. and i tell my son every day that he's shiny as a new penny. love to all...Hedgewitch IP: Logged |
